A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463, Marine Aircraft Group 24, provides on- scene awareness for a downed civilian helicopter that made an emergency landing on a sandbar in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, Oct. 22, 2018. The Marine Corps helicopters were in the area conducting routine operations when notified by the Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Air Traffic Control Tower that a civilian aircraft had fallen off of their radar. The PBY offloaded a team of Navy EOD divers who searched for a sunken PBY Catalina that was lost during the attack on Dec. 7, 1941.
