10-27-2011 -- Jeff Belanger discusses the weird and supernatural lat the E.B. Newton Cultural Center in a program presented by the WPL&M. Jeff's appearance was funded by the Winthrop Cultural Council and the Friends of the Winthrop Public Library & Museum.
The European University Cyprus Orientation Program is designed to welcome new students to the University community, facilitating the process of settling into a new and unfamiliar environment. Orientation days are organized every semester, two weeks prior to the beginning of classes. Faculty and staff are on hand to show students around campus, advise on University policies and regulations, and discuss the selection of courses.
Seen from atop the HAB, these warehouses will be the hub of shipping to/from KSC, where things will be stored as they are prepared to be sent to Umbarg via rail or flown out of KSC via aircraft

This picture was drawn by hand without a subject model save the owl from a picture of an owl found online. A pencil sketch was finished in ink and enlarged and duplicated at a printing company for coloring. It also served as a concert poster and advertisement of a company function.

El programa Jóvenes en Acción realizó el cierre del Módulo de Habilidades para la Vida, en el que participaron más de 70 mil personas de todo el país. Aporta a la construcción y el fortalecimiento de la trayectoria de vida de los jóvenes, dando herramientas para la permanencia en la educación superior, el proyecto de vida y la inserción al mercado laboral.
La directora de Prosperidad Social, Susana Correa Borrero, destacó: “En el marco de este componente, desde 2014 hemos logrado llegar a más de 250 mil participantes, en los 32 departamentos. Promovemos el desarrollo y el fortalecimiento de habilidades como liderazgo, autoconocimiento, resiliencia, empatía, trabajo en equipo, gestión del conflicto, toma de decisiones y comunicación asertiva”.
Estos procesos son claves para la movilidad social, la construcción de capital humano y los procesos de transición de la educación superior a las diferentes opciones de generación de ingresos, como la empleabilidad o el emprendimiento
En esta jornada se premió a los jóvenes destacados por sus talentos en categorías como Ejemplo de Liderazgo, Propuestas de Transformación de los territorios e Historias de Vida. Shirley Alarcón, de Riohacha; Ana Carrillo, de Montería; y Gisela Palomino, de Santa Marta, fueron las tres ganadoras, elegidas por votación de sus compañeros. Esta experiencia fortaleció los lazos emocionales afectados durante la pandemia y “las adversidades que esta trajo para cada una de sus familias, demostrando la capacidad de resiliencia y perseverancia para transformar y apostarle al cambio”, coincidieron.
El programa Jóvenes en Acción tiene más de 500.000 participantes inscritos en los 32 departamentos. Durante el actual gobierno, se han invertido 1,3 billones de pesos, lo que representa el 53 % de los recursos invertidos en las transferencias monetarias condicionadas de este programa, desde su creación.

Ecovolis is a program which aims the promotion of ecological transportation, by giving our city more clean air, adding a civic European practice which helps in economic, social and environmental development of our community. Through Ecovolis PASS aim to offer a new & innovative service for the community of Tirana through ecological transportation by bicycle. Ecovolis is a public service provided to the citizens through bicycle station placed at different point of the city, to move and perform their daily chores. These bike stations will be established by PASS and will be monitored in cooperation with local authorities, employing people with few employment opportunities and other youths.
