DCNYF is a programme of the City Arts Office, part of the Culture, Community & Recreation Department of Dublin City Council (Chief Executive Owen P. Keegan, Deputy Chief Executive Brendan Kenny). The work of the Arts Office is made possible by the support of the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Mícheál MacDonncha, and the members of Dublin City Council.

Established in 2008, the Dublin Chinese New Year Festival (DCNYF) year-on-year celebrates, promotes and deepens the understanding of the Sino/Irish relationship. The 2018 programme celebrates The Year of the Dog and marks the 11th year of this internationally recognised festival. With Chinese New Year’s Day falling on Friday 16th of February 2018, the festival plans to deliver a high profile cultural and celebratory programme to mark this significant date in the Chinese Calendar. Dublin will also continue to build on its twinning agreement with Beijing signed in 2011 and Dublin Airport Authority twinning with Beijing Airport established in 2013.

The OPCW Associate Programme is an opportunity for mid-career professionals to gain practical experience to help strengthen national implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention.

A key milestone in the UCD Medicine academic programme, our Clinical Commencement 'White Coat' Ceremony 2018 took place on Friday 9th February 2018 at UCD O'Reilly Hall.

The Clinical Commencement Ceremony marks the transition from a predominantly preclinical medical education focus to an intensive period of clinical training. The White Coat symbolise the professional responsibilities that students will assume throughout their clinical life. During the ceremony, the students were reminded to always maintain professional attitudes and behaviours in work and in relationships with classmates, teachers, patients and the community and to commit to follow ethical and professional standards of the profession.

UNCTAD/TrainForTrade Port Management Programme: Training of Trainers Workshop of the English-speaking Network in Belfast, Northern Ireland from 3-9 July 2019.

The workshop was co-organized by Belfast Harbour Commissioners, with the support of Dublin Port Company and the Port of Cork Company.

32 senior managers (including 12 women) from the member ports of the English-speaking network of the Programme (Indonesia, Ghana, Malaysia, Nigeria, and the Philippines), as well as prospective port member (Kenya) and representative form the PMP French-speaking network (Cameroon), exchanged experiences and knowledge on the contents and delivery of modules 5 - 8 of the course on Modern Port Management.

Certificates were awarded to the successful candidates.

As in previous years, the Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP) of the EBRD invited its

members and everyone interested in the topic of international and intra-regional trade finance banking to attend the annual TFP event within the framework of the Annual Meeting. TFP currently includes over 100 Issuing Banks in the EBRD region and more than 800 Confirming Banks worldwide. In the last two years, the Programme provided essential support to its members and secured substantial flows of trade finance transactions under crisis-ridden market conditions. This year’s one-day event organised in a conference format offered a unique opportunity to share contemporary trade finance banking expertise including trends, specifics, and intricacies through presentations by professional trade finance bankers and specialists. The event also provided the stage for signing agreements with banks that have recently joined and hosted an award ceremony for the most active TFP banks of 2011

A programme, some drivers helmets and the silver plate here were all from the 1949 British Grand Prix, the second held at Silverstone and first on the classic circuit which remained until 1973.

This was the original Test Programme machine for the trailing southbound Charing Cross junction. It did have problems in running away. It was soon rectified. When all the controls were moved to Leicester Square in June 1958,only two of the original signalmen went with it all.
