•Enhance the skills of existing amateur and professional computer scientists and encourage them to further their careers within the Creative Media industry.
•Fill the substantial skills shortage of web developers and games programmers whom currently take up employment outside of Wales. This scheme is funded by S4C and TAC, and is supported by Skillset Cymru and the ATRiuM
As a part of the London Korean Film Festival 2012, director of 'A Muse', Jung Ji-Woo came to the screening to talk about his film in a Q&A session. The programmer of the Busan International Film Festival, Jeon Chan-Il, also joined the Q&A. Director Jung talked about his filming style, his interpretation of the novel and Jeon shared his view of not just the film itself but how the film is viewed in various countries today and how the film portrays a different aspect from the original novel.
Although a lot of the people who came to the screening were skeptical about the plot at first, after watching the film, many mentioned that this film was the best they had seen from this year's festival.

At work today we somehow started discussing how cool rear curtain flash is. This of course led to me taking out the embarrassingly-seldomly-used G10 and doing some experimenting. Straight out of camera minus desaturation in Lightroom.

Martin Howse is a programmer, theorist, performer and explorer of open hardware who founded the ap project in 1998 to implement a truly artistic operating system (OS) in its most expanded sense and within a free software context. From 2007 to 2009 he hosted a regular workshop, micro-residency and salon series in Berlin, most recently under the banner of micro-research. For the last ten years he has collaborated in numerous open-laboratory style projects and performed, lectured and exhibited worldwide.
Last night while working on software for the iMote2, I managed to overwrite the bootloader on the board. The only way to restore the bootloader is via an interface called JTAG. I have an Intel JTAG adapter right here on my desk, but no parallel port to which to connect it. This ugly hack that I threw together is a USB JTAG adapter, based on the FT2232 chip.
Of course, the reasonable thing to have done would have been to walk the two blocks to work where there are plenty of machines with parallel ports, but that wouldn't have been as much fun.
