The Programmers connection is directly soldered to the Digital Board for reliability. And because Rev 0.5 Boards just don't have an Expansion Port ;-)

Dr. Zoltan was voted #1 Drum Programmer of 2007 by Drum Programmer Magazine for his superior work in Toontrack's Drumkit From Hell. In 1953, Shell Labs in Amsterdam was the first site in the Netherlands to use an electronic computer in a production environment. The computer was a Ferranti Mark I*, designed at Manchester University (with help from the legendary Alan Turing) and built by British company Ferranti. The Amsterdam model was called MIRACLE, for "Mokums (Amsterdam's) Industrial Research Automatic Calculator for Laboratory and Engineering", but some people nicknamed it "May It Replace All Chaotic Laboratory Experiments". My mother was one of its programmers and kept a photo album.
Fuzzy me trying to figure out how to enter in names into the bowling computer before our game. Credit to Jason Johnson for taking this photo. (Jason, now you have a CC licensed photo on the web... let's see what happens with it!)

Some #pulp covers are timeless. Then there are ones like this.
A programozó, 1992
The programmer, 1992
Dezső was working as a programmer for an IT company. He always wore this red sweater with a belt bag and his glasses with lenses getting darker in daylight. His hobbies were painting miniature model soldiers and taking trips. His colleagues found him weird so they never joined Dezső on his lonely trips. So he had taken pictures of himself with the 5 seconds long self exposure mode, and had then showed all of them to his colleagues.

The Shruthi itself is made of rare Blue V0.5 Digital and Blue V0.5 SMR-4 MK1 Analog Board running Firmware 0.95. Pots are smooth running Alpha Style. The Programmer has a Retina Burner (tm) SuperNova Style Blue LED that illuminates the Case in Darkness....
