On Thursday, March 20, 2014, Voorhees College recognized deserving student during the annual Honors Day Program in the Lawrence Memorial Auditorium of Massachusetts Hall. Reverend Michael C. Butler, the first African American to be elected as mayor of Orangeburg, South Carolina. He is also the founder and pastor of Victory Tabernacle Temple of Apostolic Faith, Inc. He has been pastor of Victory Tabernacle for 29 years. Dr. Doris Ward received the Voorhees College Excellence in Teaching Award for the 2013-2014 school year.

सत फाउंडेशन के सोजन्य से आज दिनाक 01 /03/2015 को M.D.D बाल भवन (अनाथ आश्रम ) फूसगढ़ (करनाल ) में होली पवित्र पर्व पर जागरूकता कार्यंकर्म किया गया जिसमे मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में श्री अमरेन्द्र सिंह ओ. अस. डी. to मुख्यामंत्री हरियाणा व श्री शेर सिंह जी जेल सुपरिटेंडेंट करनाल व सत फाउंडेशन के चेयरमैन सतेन्द्र कुमार ,ईश्वर सिंह,सुमेर चन्द , डायरेक्टर मनोज कुमार व दीपक कुमार व सेक्रटरी भविष्य साहनी, नरेन्द्र कुमार, विरेन्दर,अनिल , हँस कुमार, व M.D.D बाल भवन (अनाथ आश्रम ) के चेयरमैन पी. आर .नाथ व सभी बच्चे और सभी टीम मेम्बर व सभी गणमान्य व्यक्तियों ने मिलकर होली के पवित्र पर्व पर जागरूकता कार्यंकर्म में भाग लिया. होली पर्व को मनाने का मुख्य उद्देश्य मानव कल्याण ही है होली पर्व के पीछे तमाम धार्मिक मान्यताएं, परम्पराएं और ऐतिहासिक घटनाएं छुपी हुई हैं पर अंतत: इस पर्व का मुख्य उद्देश्य मानव–कल्याण ही है। लोकसंगीत, नृत्य, नाट्य, लोककथाओं, क़िस्से–कहानियों और यहाँ तक कि मुहावरों में भी होली के पीछे छिपे संस्कारों, मान्यताओं व दिलचस्प पहलुओं की झलक मिलती है। होली को आपसी प्रेम एवं एकता का प्रतीक माना जाता है। होली हमें सभी मतभेदों को भुलाकर एक–दूसरे को गले लगाने की प्रेरणा प्रदान करती है। इसके साथ ही रंगो का त्यौहार होने के कारण भी होली हमें प्रसन्न रहने की प्रेरणा देती है इसलिए इस पवित्र पर्व के अवसर पर हमें ईर्ष्या, द्वेष, कलह आदि बुराइयों को दूर भगाना चाहिए। वास्तव में हमारे द्वारा होली का त्यौहार मनाना तभी सार्थक होगा जब हम इसके वास्तविक महत्व को समझकर उसके अनुसार आचरण करें। इसलिए वर्तमान परिवेश में जरूरत है कि इस पवित्र त्यौहार पर आडम्बर की बजाय इसके पीछे छुपे हुए संस्कारों और जीवन मूल्यों को अहमियत दी जाए तभी व्यक्ति, परिवार, समाज और राष्ट्र सभी का कल्याण होगा।

Une Ricikloj: I Recycle is an environmental initiative that aims to motivate individuals and communities for a more sustainable environment with less waste. This initiative aims to provide a genuine program of recycling and ecological service for sharing and collection of waste in offices, businesses, community and beyond. We believe that recycling is vital to our environment, is good for the city, for the community, municipality, businesses and beyond.
This initiative works with the Bashkia of Tirana, local businesses, and Roma to create a structure for recycling. It provides containers for recycling and a pick-up service maintained by Roma employees. It also focused on education and involvement of the citizens. I Recycle is an environmental initiative that aims to sensitize and motivate individuals and communities for a sustainable environment, with less waste. This initiative aims to provide a recycling program and ecological service for the separated collection of waste in offices, businesses, and community and beyond. Recycling is as vital to our environment and economy. "I recycle" service offers free collection and recycling of waste in offices, institutions, organizations, hotels, restaurants, schools, shopping centers and any other person who shows interest in reducing waste.
"I recycle" is a vital service for a cleaner environment, a better economy and employment for communities in need. The first containers were designed and built by young activists of the initiative "I Recycle" with the help and cooperation of Ecovolis team. While subsequently employed persons from the Roma PWR to produce these baskets. Baskets are good quality and standards, with distinctive colors, inscriptions waste, practical in use and quite suitable for the office. Until now they are thousands of recycling kits on different businesses, organizations and institutions, (Raiffeisen Bank, Intesa San Paolo Bank, Vodafone, REC, Partners, Hotels, Restaurants, Schools and Universities) also we have 10 recycling point on the main roads of Tirana.
