On Friday, August 24, 2012, Maj. Gen. Joyce L. Stevens, Assistant Adjutant General-Army for Texas and Commander of the Texas Army National Guard honor the Job Education Connection Program (JCEP) for having in 1000th Service Member hired in Texas. Originally began as a pilot program in Texas, Spec. Anthony Tony Christmas became the 1000th JCEP participant hired when he accepted a position with Aramark Uniform Services in Dallas, Texas. The Revera and Reel Youth Age is More Film Project is an intergenerational partnership between Revera, a Canadian leader in seniors' accommodation, care and services, and Reel Youth, a charitable project that empowers youth to create engaging films about important social issues. The partnership was launched in 2013.
With 80 films to date, the program celebrates older Canadians through story-telling and film, with the added benefit of fostering new intergenerational relationships. The project aims to shed light on ageism, challenge the assumptions of aging and recognize the valuable contributions of older adults to society.

The 2015 Youth and Mentors Film Program was a filmmaking workshop that brought together youth and the people they look up to in their community. They collaborated to produce these powerful short films, and were featured in a short documentary. The program was made possible with the support of the Peel Regional Police, The Journey Neighbourhood Centre, and the Province of Ontario.
