Art Programs:

Professional Art Program

Our Art Program is designed for those who are seeking to mature their skills as an artist, and for those who are just begin to try the water on their artistic voyage, and for those who just love art and creativity... You can start any time and stay with us as much you’d like.

Portfolio Art Programs

These evening and weekend classes for talented students who decide to continue art education for more “practical” level. These programs allow artists to focus on “portfolio” areas: painting, creative thinking, illustration, graphic design, digital art and art history. For the end of four years of study every student will have extensive portfolio to show at enrollment in to college or workplace.

Workshops

These one or two-week intensive sessions are taught by Living Art Studio's instructors, outstanding artists, Dr. Jane Goretskaya and doctoral student, MA, Marina Bichinsky. They allow artists to build upon their knowledge. As evidence of their value, a growing number of our international alumni return regularly to advance their skills.

nice to know, all the classic Apple, IBM, Arcade, Atari, Commodore etc… fonts are in there, as long they are based on 8x8 pixels

CAMP YEHS! – The Youth Exploring Health Sciences (CAMP YEHS!) is a two-week summer enrichment program for rising ninth grade students from underrepresented populations who are high performers in middle school with an interest in exploring careers in the health sciences. The program is designed to introduce disadvantaged youth to health science fields at an early age in an effort to reduce the shortage of racial/ethnic minorities and males entering these professions. A primary focus of the program is also to increase the education and awareness of health disparities among minority populations. Marina Skinner is the program director.

I made four layer programs, with a black backing, wrapped over the top. I secured them with different colored ribbons - which coordinated with our wedding colors (black, hot pink and lime green). The inspiration was the program from my friend Juliana's wedding.

Using the sports of Basketball and Volleyball this pilot initiative seeks to study the viability and effects of a formal interscholastic middle school athletics program by providing a structured environment that instills self-discipline, builds self-confidence, fosters quality relationships and boosts school pride and improves student attendance, behavior, coursework and grades, including promoting active lifestyles and addressing childhood obesity which has more than doubled in children and quadrupled in adolescents in the past 30 years.

Following the High School athletics model, participating student-athletes are required to: (1) maintain a 2.0 GPA with no F grades and submit to regular grade checks, (2) submit a Department of Education (DOE) Student Participation and Parent/Guardian Consent, Release and Assumption of Risk Form, (3) submit a DOE Physical Examination for Athletes Form, and (4) attend a Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) workshop with their parent or guardian. Coaches will also attend a PCA workshop.

All 8 DOE Maui District middle/intermediate schools are participating: Maui Waena Intermediate School, Kalama Intermediate School, Lahaina Intermediate School, Molokai Middle School, Lanai High and Elementary School, Lokelani Intermediate School, Hana High and Elementary School, and Iao Intermediate School.
