Hello.
My name is Nevereux. Except, most likely, it isn’t.
Profoundly troubled and profoundly untroubled, I’m wearing Deadwool even when I don’t.
I’m the smartphonist who thinks that the world was born with my iPhone.
I’m looking for a world with less labels and more peace, civil rights and efforts for conservation of the natural resources. Except, most likely, it doesn’t exist.
Ppl in power told me that they’d keep us safe and there’d be no more wars with our natural enemies, whether human or non-human. Except, most likely, they lied.
I Googled and I found out that the world outside our skin is as much ourselves as the world inside. But peace can be made only by those who are peaceful, and love can be shown only by those who love. No work of love will flourish out of guilt, fear, or hollowness of heart, just as no valid plans for the future can be made by those who have no capacity for living now.
In fact, where is everybody?
This was my life. Except, most likely, it wasn’t.
Nitroglobus Gallery is having me for the 2nd time with “A Beautiful Collapse”, a new whole aesthetic and postapocalyptic collection about societal unraveling and the sharp decline of our general values. It provides a series of polaroids meant for a supreme entity to understand humankind and what led us to extinction.
There also will be a 3D artwork by Kaiju Kohime in the same spirit, called CRISP, and an opening party tomorrow, @ 12pm SLT, music selection by DJ Ferdy.
I hope to see you in the foreseeable future.

As much as I would like to change this composition, it is set and frozen. I tried to shift the hearts around, and the petals started falling out of my frozen hearts, so I learned to accept what is. Each heart is unique and has it's own shape and characteristics that shifted into place naturally as the water froze. Much like with people, we have gone through things that have changed us in profound ways. Remember to be kind, we are all broken in some way.

[ E U P H O R I C] - Soraya Eyes&HD Eyeshadow&Lashes Collection
It’s some kind of love
It’s some kind of fire
I’m already up
But you lift me higher
You know I’m not wrong
You know I’m not lyin’
We do it better
Yeah, we do it better, yeah
I don’t mind if the world spins faster
The music’s louder, the waves get stronger
I don’t mind if the world spins faster, faster, faster
Just let me take you to a better place
I’m gonna make you kiss the sky tonight
Yeah, if you let me show the way
I’m so excited to see you excited
I’ll take you to a better place
And baby you can love me on the way
We’re flyin’ up to outer space
I’m so excited to see you excited, yeah
You like the bass down low
I wanna lose control
I wanna dance all night
You like it nice and slow
Don’t want it any other way
Tell all your friends are gonna stay
When we’re together
You know that we do it better
I don’t mind if the world spins faster
The music’s louder, the waves are getting stronger
I don’t mind if the world spins faster, faster, faster, faster
Just let me take you to a better place
I’m gonna make you kiss the sky tonight
Yeah, if you let me show the way (show the way)
I’m so excited to see you excited
I like to see you lose control (ain’t nobody better, we do it better)
I know a place
Say that you’ll go with me,

Under fate, under destiny's killing moon, transformation doesn't ask permission—it simply happens.
They speak of alchemy as if it were ancient magic, dusty books and cryptic symbols. But I've learned its truth in the mirror, in the spaces between breaths, in the flutter of black wings against pale skin.
Nigredo: the darkness we must enter. The dissolving of what we thought we were.
Albedo: the purification. The stripping away. The becoming translucent, ghost-like, ready.
Rubedo: the final touch of crimson. The pulse that proves we're alive in our new form.
Black butterflies know this secret—that to fly, you must first embrace the death of crawling. That beauty lives in the spaces between destruction and rebirth. That sometimes the most profound transformations happen in monochrome, with just a whisper of red to remind us we're still burning.
Under this killing moon, I am neither what I was nor what I will be. I am the chrysalis split open. I am the wing still drying. I am the alchemical work in progress.
And the butterflies? They don't judge the metamorphosis. They simply understand it.

With all of the bad things that are happening in the world right now, I think we need a message of togetherness and true unity. I believe that starts with personal reflection and then we can find kindness toward each other. Marielle Heller
I have long believed that there are fundamentally two forces or emotions that drive our decisions - love and fear. Love has its many manifestations: compassion, gratitude, kindness, and joy. Fear often manifests in cynicism, anger, jealousy, and anxiety. I worry that many of our communities are being driven by fear.

Sequestered deep in the mountains, isolated from major roads and townships, there is profound mystery, history and culture to the whole Jenolan area and I love to visit when I can.
The famous caves and associated land cover 3,000 hectares situated in the Central Tablelands region, west of the Blue Mountains here in New South Wales.
At 340 million years old, the caves are the most ancient discovered open caves in the world. The word Jenolan is believed to be an indigenous word for 'high place', derived from the Tharawal word, 'genowlan'. Jenolan Caves are within the lands of the Burra Burra people, a clan group of the Gundugurra Nation and this is a sacred space for First Nation communities.
The peaceful Blue Lake seen here, is fed by the River Styx and Jenolan River. The intense and most beautiful colour seen from some angles comes from the refraction of light through the limestone deposits, sediment and bedrock.
There are duck-billed platypus within the vicinity, but I have not been lucky enough to see any during my visits.

“SOFT CORE” — A Black & White Photography Exhibition by Nara Ghost
The Gild Gallery · May 9th at 1 PM SLT
On May 9th at 1 PM SLT, The Gild Gallery opens its doors to SOFT CORE, a black and white photography exhibition by the elusive Nara Ghost. Guests are invited to attend in black and white attire, reflecting the minimalist elegance of the artist’s vision.
In the delicate interplay of light and shadow, stories unfold without words.
Known for curating work that invites emotion and contemplation, The Gild Gallery presents a collection that feels both intimate and enigmatic.
SOFT CORE offers a quiet invitation into moments suspended between clarity and obscurity - images that hold space for reflection, suggestion, and the subtle power of what remains unsaid.
Each photograph captures something fleeting: the trace of a thought, a passing feeling, a half-remembered dream. With a mysterious lens and a sensitivity to tone and form, Nara draws the viewer into a world that resists definition yet resonates with quiet familiarity.
The Gild becomes, for this exhibition, a space not for answers, but for atmosphere - for sensing rather than knowing.
Step softly. The mystery isn’t here to be solved - it’s here to be felt

Gonje Anton, I am deeply honored by your gracious invitation to exhibit my work in your gallery, and profoundly moved by the sincere appreciation you so evidently hold for my art - an affirmation that echoes beyond words
"To the memory of the soldiers and sailors of Klickitat County who gave their lives in defense of their country. This monument is erected in hope that others inspired by the example of their valor and their heroism may share in that love of liberty and burn with that fire of patriotism which death alone can quench."
These are the profound words inscribed on the alter stone inside of the Maryhill replica of Stonehenge located on a placid hillside overlooking the winding wonder that is the Columbia River Gorge.
I urge you to research the Quaker Samuel Hill whose vision this was, as he had a long and eventful life, but it was on one of his fifty (pre transcontinental flight era) trips to Europe in 1915 accompanied by Britain's Secretary of State for War Lord Horatio Herbert Kitchener that he visited the original Stonehenge. According to Hills biographer, it was Lord Kitchener who told Samuel that Druids used this place for human sacrifice 4,000 years ago. Mr. Hill being a pacifist and having witnessed the most barbaric of wars ever drew a parallel between human sacrifice of old and the wars of man and so while the war to end all wars was still raging, he dedicated this monument in 1918.
Said Nelson B. Brooks at the dedication; "To Klickitat County, Washington attaches the distinction of being the first community in the Northwest and so far as reported the first in America, to consecrate a memorial to its sons who have met death while in the nation's service in the existing war ... six names have already been inscribed upon the monument: Dewey V. Bromley, John W. Cheshier, James B. Duncan, Robert F. Graham, Carl A. Lester, and Robert F. Venable. Space has been left for others who are expected in the nature of things to follow. Of these, 'One sleeps in the land where rolls the Oregon, three in the soil of the pioneered hills of Klickitat, one upon the blood-stained hills of France, and one who, when the ocean gave up its dead from the torpedoed Tuscania, found a brutal place beneath the heather of Scotland'.
Indeed, names since added:
Henry Allyn
Charles Auer
William O. Clary
Harry Gotfredson
Louis Leidl
Edward Lindblad
Harry O. Piendl
One of them was 28, the others between the ages of 19 and 21.
I'd seen pics of this place and watched video's on youtube, most of them leaving me, um, unimpressed and truth be told I made this nearly four hour drive solely to see an oddity in the middle of nowhere and to cross it off my list. Even pulling up to it my first thought was that it was even smaller than I had imagined and I was thankful for getting out of the car.... then I stepped inside...it was still dark, but bright enough to see and even though I knew no one is buried here I felt as though I were on hallowed ground, and I was.
Go see it, and never forget.
ps
while you are there, wander a little down the hill and say hi to Sam who was cremated and buried there three years after the completion of his monument.

Cherry blossoms (sakura) embody profound and often contrasting meanings. Primarily, they symbolize the fleeting nature of life, as their vibrant beauty peaks briefly before the petals fall and wither. This ephemeral quality also ties them to themes of both life and death: they herald spring’s renewal yet serve as a reminder of mortality.
In Japanese culture, cherry blossoms are deeply symbolic, appearing in art, literature, and film. Historically, they mirrored the short but intense lives of samurai, who adhered to bushido (a code of honor, discipline, and fearlessness). Fallen petals were likened to warriors’ sacrifices. During WWII, kamikaze pilots painted sakura on their planes to represent dying “like falling blossoms” for the emperor.
Rooted in folk beliefs, sakura were once tied to agricultural fertility. The term sakura may derive from sa (rice paddy deity) and kura (a deity’s seat). People believed mountain spirits, later revered as rice gods, dwelled in cherry trees. This led to spring pilgrimages to worship them.
The tradition of Hanami (flower viewing) originated as rituals to pray for bountiful harvests, with offerings made beneath blooming trees. Today, it is a festive spring gathering where people picnic, sing, and celebrate under sakura.

This photo was taken during my first days in Japan, coinciding with the peak of spring blooming — a serendipitous welcome to the country’s iconic season.
But she was only just beginning on this road. As she begins to sense her own inner depth, she becomes aware there is much to discover, much to receive. And so she learns ‘to hearken’. She uses a German word that captures something of the profound awareness that this listening implies: ‘hineinhorchen’. ‘… it seems to me’ she writes, ‘that this word is untranslatable. Hearkening to myself, to others, to the world.’ And in her listening she is searching. ‘I listen very intently, with my whole being, and try to fathom the meaning of things.’ ‘To fathom.’ The word suggests great depths, even a deep darkness of not knowing. ‘I keep looking for something,’ she writes, ‘but don’t know what …

Written this morning to a friend…
Not to go deep on you…but it is interesting that you latched onto the word “hineinhorchen,” because that to me is where Etty and me found the great mystery “the face of God” within us.

For all the gratitude we owe the dualist mind for the beauty and creativity of reasoning, investigating, distinguishing, for scientific inquiry that prods the wondrous subtleties of the world and all manner of contribution to life, art, and culture, this dualist (thinking) mind does not have the final word on what counts as real or normal. With the blossoming of the eye of the heart, the unitive gaze of awareness itself, not something we are aware of but the aware-ing itself, life and love present themselves in a profoundly simple manner. It is never a case of blurring the intellectual distinction of Creator and creation (who would want to?), but rather one of unfathomable insight into their inseparable bond (even these words fail).
-An Ocean of Light Contemplation, Transformation, and Liberation, Martin Laird, O.S.A.
You always can. Profoundly changing yourself, that is. Making a totally new start, a new beginning. Dream on. Hang on to the illusion. What you are going to find is probably this: whatever new dress you are wearing, however you "reinvent" yourself, whatever new city you are living in, however much you cling to your new religion, the old ego will come through and squeeze itself to the surface. That is your prison, and it is hard to break free.

Morning haze with deers in The Royal Hunting Ground and Park - Jægersborg Dyrehave, Denmark.
The Royal Hunting Ground and Park, Jægersborg Dyrehave, is home to around 2,000 free-ranging deer, including red deer, fallow eder, and sika deer. The animals roam freely across the large, scenic park, where visitors can often spot them grazing in open meadows or resting under ancient oak trees. The presence of these majestic animals is one of the park’s most unique and unforgettable experiences.
The Royal Hunting Ground and Park, Jægersborg Dyrehave is a forest park located north of Copenhagen in the municipality of Lyngby-Taarbæk, stands as a profound example of a landscape shaped by both a political ideology and a profound social transformation. Covering approximately 11 square kilometers , the park forms a crucial component of "The Par force hunting landscape in North Zealand," a UNESCO World Heritage Site that also includes Store Dyrehave and Gribskov. The park’s unique character is a result of a meticulous, deliberate design, a living palimpsest where the remnants of its royal past are integrated into its contemporary function as a cherished public space. This report will explore how Jægersborg Dyrehave’s history as a "landscape of power," created to project the authority of the Danish kings, paradoxically laid the foundation for its modern identity as an untamed natural retreat, valued for its wild beauty and public accessibility.
After the somewhat more profound thoughts from this morning, I'll add something light.
So light that it can even fly.
You can find this delicate bird everywhere in Bangkok. It almost seems like the Asian replacement for our house sparrow.
I knew at first glance that it had to be a pigeon. What irritated me, however, was that these birds are so small and delicate. Nothing compares to the big buzzers you find in European cities.
So I did a little research and found out that it was a barred ground dove (also called a zebra dove). These birds have a body length of just 20-25 cm (from head to tip of tail) and, as I also found out, live almost throughout Asia.
So if you happen to be there, there is a very good chance that they will run into you (or fly).
Nach den doch etwas tiefschürfenderen Gedanken von heute Morgen schicke ich noch etwas leichtes hinterher.
So leicht, dass es sogar fliegen kann.
Diesen zierlichen Vogel trefft Ihr in Bangkok überall.

Nature teaches so many profound lessons in such a way that even the youngest child can understand! We are all part of a family -- and how wonderful that is!!! But, how equally wonderful that each and every one of us has unique talents, abilities, likes, passions, insights, and individuality. We can all learn from each other and collectively we can create amazing beauty!!!!
NOTE: Thanks so much for your many kind comments, faves, and invites. I especially thank you for your friendship! What a special joy you bring into my life each day!!!!
The deeper we look into nature the more we recognize that it is full of life, and the more profoundly we know that all life is a secret, and we are all united to all this life.
-Albert Schweitzer
I read of a study done about children who were unusually and extremely sensitive to their environment. Who seemed not to have much.....or any.....resiliency. And who would either whither completely, or flourish profoundly depending on the nature of the influences.
They have been called Orchid Children.
"The Orchid
Most children are like dandelions and can grow wherever they may land very easily. They are common and hardy and robust. Other children are like orchids and can only thrive in just the right greenhouse conditions. When they bloom, they are rare, fragile, beautiful, and very special. You are an orchid child, so fortunate to have the right people caring for you. Though you are fragile, you are so very special and it is breath taking to see you bloom."
The sun took a vacation today... and you know, I didn't mind a bit.

location : Kyoto’s Sagano Bamboo Forest
Kyoto city, Kyoto prefecture,Japan
(CNN) - Kyoto's Sagano Bamboo Forest: One of the most beautiful groves on Earth -
In Japan's Sagano Bamboo Forest, on the outskirts of Kyoto, towering green stalks of the famously versatile plant sway in the wind, creaking eerily they collide and twist, leaves rustling.
The sun filters through the densely packed grove, projecting thin slashes of light onto the dozens of camera-clutching tourists shuffling down the wide trail that cuts through the middle of the forest as they awkwardly angle their shots, attempting to crop human forms out of their frames.
Long gone are the days when you'd get this place to yourself.
If you've ever clicked on a rundown of "places to see before you die" or a compilation of the most beautiful forests in the world, chances are you've seen a photo of Sagano.
Located in the gorgeous Arashiyama district of western Kyoto, the Sagano Bamboo Forest's popularity has expanded in recent years, coinciding with the growing number of Buzzfeed-esque articles that include it on superlative-heavy travel lists.
Though it's the beauty of the bamboo that brings in the masses, those distinct rustling sounds have become an attraction in their own right.
A few years ago the Ministry of Environment included the Sagano Bamboo Forest on its list of "100 Soundscapes of Japan" -- a selection of everyday noises intended to encourage locals to stop and enjoy nature's music.
For the best experience, head out early in the morning or late evening and avoid weekends completely, when Japanese day-trippers descend on the area -- especially in the fall and spring. (There's no admission fee and it's open 24/7.)

Anuncia es una de las mujeres más pequeñas de mi pueblo, yo creo que la más pequeña, pero a su vez una de las de mayor corazón.
Aquí viene de su paseo diario hasta el cementerio, donde tiene enterrados a su marido y algún hijo.
“Profound melancholia is a day-in, day-out, night-in, night-out, almost arterial level of agony.” ♫

These laid back islands aren't my ideal place for a vacation (especially with all them mosquitos flying around) but it had one or two sites that stood out as magnificent.
I was only in Oahu for 2 days waiting for a transfer flight to Haneda (Tokyo), but within that time I managed to get several shots worthy to edit. This particular one was taken in the late hours of the day at ʻĀweoweo Beach Park (always pickin' mouthful-of-a-names). I could practically hear the steel drums running through my mind.
I realized I had a real opportunity to get beautiful skies, so I made the color of the sky a lot more profound then the original shot (which was a bit more bleak, which for someplace like Hawaii just wouldn't fit aesthetically) Only issue were the palm trees in the back, at first I liked having it silhouetted, but as I continued to edit, something about it just felt unnatural, tried tracing around the mask to add a new layer, but the task proved way too precise.
The nearby town of Waialua is also real pretty for anyone in the area. It's far from the grimey streets of Honolulu (which is trying too hard to look like a 48 state major city at this point), and instead it embraces it's south pacific style roots and looks like it came out of a Polynesian background. Very nice.
IN MEMORIAM - MARY OLIVER. (1935-2019) In gratitude for her profound poetry and life that enhanced mine. This was the first poem I read of hers.
THE JOURNEY
One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice –
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
“Mend my life!”
each voice cried.
But you didn’t stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognized as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do –
determined to save
the only life you could save.
Mary Oliver RIP 🙏💜
