Encounter in a local park last weekend. At this time of year lots of Mandarin ducks gather at a pond there. They disappear in spring, I have no idea where they are going. It's a shame that they don't stay at that pond because I would love to see them raise their ducklings.

I apologize for not posting for the last week's theme, I've had an unexpected and not very pleasant motif.

This young woman has just graduated from the Düsseldorf Academy of Art.The academy is pretty famous…Paul Klee was a professor there, Joseph Beuys was a professor there in the 1970s and Gerhardt Richter… amongst other well known artists, studied there…I took this shot, with the young woman’s permission at an exhibition of work collected by Mutter Ey after the first world war, she was a well known, much loved supporter of artists throughout her life.
