Yes, I do get bored sometimes.

Fynn on the porch this morning. We had heavy rainfalls but the porch is covered by a roof and therefore mostly protected against the rain. I was rather surprised that he stayed on the porch and didn't even try to go down in the garden. Usually something as insignifcant as torrential rain doesn't stop him.

The photo was taken from the basement window. I used lifeview and held the camera out of the window. It took several efforts until I finally managed a more or less sharp shot. The camera is dry again by now. :)

There are so many great quotes I could have used for the title to this one that I just couldn't decide.

Anyways, a follow-up to my previous post where I listed off a boatload of Crime movies that I've recently watched and enjoyed, I mentioned that my favorite would get its own post.

And goddamn do I love this movie.

For those that aren't familiar, Leon: The Professional is a 1994 film directed by Luc Besson. It came about after positive reaction to a one-scene-wonder character called The Cleaner that appeared in another of his films Le Femme Nikita.

Leon: The Professional follows the titular Leon (Jean Reno), a simple-minded, lonely Italian Hitman in NY City and his day-to-day life, which is interrupted when he decides to harbor a twelve year old girl named Mathilda (Natalie Portman, literally twelve) after her parents and siblings are gunned down by corrupt DEA agents led by Stansfield (Gary Oldman). Mathilda, wanting revenge for her little brother's death, tries to hire Leon to train her in the art of "cleaning", which he initially refuses. Over the course of the film they develop a weird father/daughter relationship, and help each other get over their respective feelings of isolation.

Really, I can't go on enough about how much I dig this movie, it's one of, if not my number one all time favorite, running neck-and-neck with Terry Gilliam's Brazil (and probably The Blues Brothers. Heh.)

Anyways, I'm sure i'll be back to the typical Super Heroes/Sci-Fi shtick sometime soon, so stay tuned for that.
