A promo shot for my newest guest soap. Deep Woods Scent: The deepest, darkest part of the forest, pierced with shafts of warm summer sunlight. A bed of fallen ferns, moss, and dense pine needles under rugged, smoky patchouli and hints of fragrant tangles of jasmine. Intense, dark, and magical.

Something a little different 💁‍♂️

The Small Things that I use while snowboarding. Took for a class project and had fun with it!

Was cool to see how well Photoshop's Generative Expand feature worked to get a larger image than what was originally captured.

Been out in the garden all day... 37 slabs lain today and the patio is finished... Really could have done with a strong man like this... Im beat, sore all over and ready for bed... but a job well done!

Promise I'll catch up with commenting on all your photos over the weekend.

Playing around with my ghetto lighting again. I really must get one of my real strobes repaired.

I've mentioned before how I think white backgrounds are difficult to do well. Some of the common mistakes are harsh shadows and blown-out highlights. I still haven't mastered the technique, and it's even harder when the object has a reflective surface, such as this bracelet. I want to be able to produce on-white images as good as those as you see in catalogs, but those do require some real professional lighting.

Representative of the whole…

I recently got to do some product shops for local illustrator @salguindc (Salgu in DC (Salgu means 'Apricot' in Korean because it is her favorite color palette for drawing)).

I came upon her work when I stopped by a local art store in Georgetown 'Shop Made in DC' and out of all the postcards and artwork being sold there, hers stood out immediately to me. When I send postcards to friends who are not from the DC area, I will use one of her cards to write in.

Follow her on Instagram and check out her online store on Etsy where she sells not only postcards, but magnets, stickers and large sized A4 prints.

In this photo I tried to get all her postcards as neatly as possible so you can see the various scenes she has drawn of DC.
