I live in Dallas, Texas and we never get snow! VERY RARELY! NEVER! So nobody really has a sled on hand or a real reason to buy one. When we were hit by a very unusual wonderful winter weather snow storm on Friday, people were being creative and improvising sleds. Most people were using plastic bin lids, but this young lad really impressed me with his creative problem-solving solution - the top of a dog carrier! How INVENTIVE! Well done young man! 8632v3

I was taking photos of a Red-tailed Hawk and unknowingly stood under a Raven’s nest. The Ravens went crazy and started attacking the fence post I was standing by while others were diving at me. They were NOT amused.

I was looking at spider webs on my rhodies when this stink bug popped out to see me. The next day I saw it had been trapped by one of the spiders!

I don't think this is a brown marmorated stink bug that farmers are becoming very concerned about:

Update: this is actually a Western Conifer Seed bug Leptoglossus occidentalis) but it did stink!
