Last MoT test expired in November 2012.

Probe droids (also known as probots or recon droids) were droids that were specifically designed and programmed to perform reconnaissance duties. These units were often dispatched by various space navies to gather information from a variety of different locations, reporting anything of significance as defined by specific preprogrammed protocols.

Protected by special plastic sheeting, NASA’s Parker Solar Probe is wheeled into a clean room at Astrotech Space Operations in Titusville, Florida, for pre-launch testing and preparations. On April 3, 2018, the spacecraft was transported from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, to Joint Base Andrews by truck, then by a United States Air Force C-17 to Titusville.

Only 245 Probes remain according to the card in the screen on this. Not a car that would normally appeal to me, but for some reason I've always rather liked the styling of these.

Down at the lake, I was sitting on the shore when this Wilson's Snipe flew in and landed quite close to me. It's not a bird I often see, and when I do, they tend to be hidden or have unattractive, messy backgrounds, so I was thankful for the clean look at this one.

I decided to make this recognizable Star Wars scene into Lego.

I quite like how it turned out, although I am not sure about the background., so I might revisit his later.

Comments and criticism appriciated.

The Jawa infiltration of the Death Star continues ... and the stormtroopers are starting to get suspicious ....

"Does that seem odd to you?"

"Did you notice something out of place as well?"

"Yeah, why are their helmets different than ours?"

Part of my Jawas On The Death Star and Stormtroopers series.

Not one I expected to see at the NEC, but great to see some being preserved in such nice condition as I understand that these sold quite poorly! Coming back as imported in 1990 and has been registered in the UK its entire life! One owner up until 2022 incredibly, where it was sold to the current owner! Flawless MOT history for many years, no advisories have ever been recorded and it has had only one fail which was for the tires being cut, also has had no major breaks from the road either. Currently on SORN but with a valid MOT until the 29th of June 2023.

A Ford Probe GT 2.2 Turbo at the Schuppen 1 in Bremen.

The Ford Probe wasn't supposed to be sold in germany but in 1990 Ford took a batch of Probes that were meant to be sold in the USA and fitted then to match the german laws and officially sold them at german Ford dealers.

Ford did the same with the second generation of the Probe but decided to build a version especially for germany later.

Ford actually tought about replacing the Mustang with the Probe but luckily dropped that idea.

When the Probe hit the german market some german customers were confused about its name since in german there is also the word "Probe" which means "trial". :D

Some polystyrene and a biro. I like how the sastrugi is it called? texture turned out on the base. If I've been good this year maybe Santa will bring me the new Black Series probe for Xmas.

“Radio signals will probe sun’s corona

We will get a close look at the atmosphere of the sun in 1969 when NASA’s small interplanetary probe—Sunblazer—is launched. This will mark the first of five such probes. Another is scheduled in 1969, with the last three to be launched in 1970. The objective will be to gain information on the physical characteristics of the outer atmosphere of the sun—the corona.

The Sunblazer project is the result of a proposal by scientists headed by Dr. John V. Harrington, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They want to measure the electron density and fluctuations in the solar corona. The scope of the project expanded until it promises to provide data on interplanetary space within the earth’s orbit. It will be particularly fruitful to undertake this project when sunspots are most active.

While the sun is the source of almost all energy on earth and has been studied more than any other celestial object, astronomers are acutely aware of their inadequate knowledge of this body. On earth, we see the sun in a narrow sliver of the entire electromagnetic spectrum, which means many unknown physical processes may be taking place on the sun.

Similarly, terrestrial effects may occur which are a product of unknown solar radition. Sunspot cycles exist whose cause is unknown. There are solar storms called flares which have tremendous impact on the earth, but we don’t know their origin.

Clarence A Brown, Jr., of NASA’s Langley Research Center, and project manager of Sunblazer, says the launch will, after 18 months, maneuver directly behind the sun, so that sun lies between…”

OK, too esoteric... But the Parker Prober - so cool - is parked near Sol to collect amazing data that is hard to dream of! Sun flower be damned. ; > )
