“Destination Moon” is an Academy Award winning film produced by George Pal in 1950 and one of the first science fiction films to attempt a high level of accurate technical detail in telling the story of the first trip to the Moon. Science fiction writer Robert A. Heinlein contributed to the screenplay and served as the technical adviser. It is the story of a privately-funded lunar expedition in a nuclear powered spaceship. The crew faces tough challenges on the way. The first occurs before launch with a ginned-up public uproar over radiation safety. On the trip to the moon, a faulty radar antenna requires a crew member to take an unscheduled spacewalk. On the moon, enough fuel remains for only three of the four crew members to return to earth. Not such a streak free shine.
After being gone for a week and a half, it seems as if the new Edgewater Hotel has added an additional story onto it's redevelopment. While I normally shoot this location in more favorable light, I was on a time crunch and wasn't feeling very inspired to wait around for the light to change.

the extractor fans for the TB clinic are just behind this abandoned car, its a health hazard to the occupants.
If you look carefully, the tree has a face that looks like it is smiling, see, eyes, nose and smiling mouth
The occupants of the buildings that make the old Hillbrow Gen, live in them without running water and electricity because they are paying rent to building hijackers who run a driving school across the street.
The entrance to the community centre, Hosiptal and all buildings attached to it are off limits to the public.
