The start of a new project called “Dan Was There”. I have often gone to Private Views, Photography talks etc etc and found Dan Burword’s bike chained up somewhere outside.
Tonight was the second talk in the “Road To 2012” exhibition at Centenary Way in Birmingham. Bettina von Zwehl talked about producing her portraits of athletes.
Road To 2012” is a free outdoor exhibition in Cardiff, Edinburgh and Birmingham. showing newly-commissioned portraits of top athletes and key figures involved in planning the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

On Monday 7 December 2015, Show Three in LCC's Postgraduate Shows 2015 opened with a Private View. This School of Design exhibition featured MA Contemporary Typographic Media, MA Graphic Branding and Identity, MA Graphic Design, MA Graphic Moving Image, MDes Service Design Innovation and Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma Design for Visual Communication.

Here is my monster with all its frames on it: an arm-bone, a second eye (now it can see in binocular vision, the lucky scamp), a spangly heart, and some new babies growing in its belly. And its moustache, added by Tasha the night before (I very nearly kept the moustache on it for the show, because it looks so very good. In the end, however, I stole it to wear myself)
Also, I have just begun to black outline its backgrounds. Black outlines are excellent, and dead satisfying to put on.
Yet to be added here are its plushie babies.
You know, it was only when I'd finished this that I realised how very baby-focussed it was. Hmmm.
