Le cœur des hommes est une porte…
une porte déroutante, attirante, pleine de malice et d’imagination ; sauvage, infranchissable, gardant jalousement ses secrets. Parfois, dans un soupir ou dans un rire, elle s’entrouvre, laissant filtrer un rayon de lumière… et puis vite, trop vite, elle se referme, toute hérissée de serrures, de cadenas et de trompe-l’œil ; hermétiquement, désespérément close.
Et moi j’attends, patiemment, doucement, obstinément… Parce que j’adore les mots, j’espère qu’un jour, je trouverai ceux qui feront tomber ses défenses, je l’apprivoiserai…
Un jour, la porte s’ouvrira, et je serai son amie, vraiment son amie…
Men’s heart is a door... a disconcerting door, attractive, full of mischievousness and imagination ; wild, impassable, jealously keeping its secrets. Sometimes, in a sigh or a laughter, it half-opens, letting a ray of light get through... and then quickly, too quickly, it’s closing again, very bristling with locks, padlocks and window-dressings ; hermetically, desperately closed.
And I’m waiting, patiently, gently, persistently... Since I adore words, I hope that one day, I’ll find those which will bring down his defences, I will tame him...
One day, the door will open, and I will be his friend, really his friend...

The office set for our photo shoot for the album cover of 'The Hypnos Files'. The album was recorded remotely in lockdown by the trio of Neil Bullock, Chris Bowden and Louise Warren.
In this trial version of the image they appear as 'Wanted' posters on the wall above the vacant desk. This will not be used on the album cover.

The installation comprised: A Macintosh computer with an old screen accompanied by a TV set that showed the sequels of "Star Wars" and a A3 photobook with a selected collection of images out of the database. The installation is halfway integrated into the open office structure of the gallery. The installation is mainly put together with found furniture or objects that have been already in the gallery. The installation of the As We May Think database was part of the exhibition "Transition" "Private Investigations" together with Judith Fischer at the Kunstpavillon in Innsbruck, curated by Andrei Siclodi and Ingeborg Erhart. 10th January - 3rd February 2006, Kunstpavillon Innsbruck, Rennweg 8a, Innsbruck, Austria.
