Shot contrived for Saturday Self Challenge 06/07/2024 -- Triptych .

Triptych is a great choice for a challenge , but choosing a subject/theme is the real challenge . However , being given a box containing a small crystal ball , pyramid , cube and a triangular block - all in crystal glass , I thought a triptych using three of the pieces showing each of their properties bending light would make an interesting subject . The results are refracting and generally altering light - and to a small degree breaking the light down to a spectrum showing the colours of the rainbow .

I have played around with the pyramid and triangular block and as yet have failed to create The Dark Side Of The Moon image !!!!! Reckon there is a lot of poetic licence on the album cover regarding the physics of light !

So this is my triptych for the challenge with light through prisms as a theme - as for the yellow , well that is the bonnet of a Dax Kamala kit car !!

Inspired by observing some using with fun results!

I found a cut-glass triangular prism in a cabinet and began to experiment. This is my wristwatch from the previous photo.

A heartfelt thank you for inspiration, flickrites. And this is why I started this account—to experiment.

As a photographer, a common theme I like to find is minimal geometry and patterns in nature or man-made objects.

This photo represents geometrical patterns and shapes created by the architecture and reflection of the Prudential Plaza in Jacksonville, FL. I walk past this building so many times, but one day managed to stand underneath it, and discovered this magic.

The architect is KBJ Architects from Jacksonville, FL, a firm responsible for shaping the incoming Jacksonville skyline we have today.
