Freehand machine embroidery on silk, Tasmanian wool and cotton, with leather back and hand printed linen lining (linen by Shannon Lamden AKA Aunty Cookie, Melbourne)
I seem to be making endless quantities of these bags at the moment. I'm slowly making my way through a pile of 70 that I want to make up so I have 'stock' to send off for orders.
I'm getting a bit bored with the bird thing though...I'm going to have to play with other imagery, maybe some more skulls and skeletons and flowers...a hommage to Frida Khalo with lots of crazy colour?!!
