Taddiport is a hamlet in North Devon. The name is believed to derive from 'toad' and in the middle ages it was a leper colony.

Early morning overlooking the river Torridge in Bideford.

Taken behind where I live. I couldn't get my car out to get to work, so enjoyed a walk about-much more fun!

HFF,

The sound of water flowing through a quiet spot on the river, the smell of the pines and cedars, watching water bugs dart across the surface of the water, fallen leaves, the light as it filters through the trees and reflects off the surface of the river, and the deep shades where the sun never reaches--these are a few of my favorite things.

The waxing crescent moon (4.5 % illumination), nearly set hangs in the twilight above Taos, New Mexico.

This image from my archives reminds me that it has been months since I've snapped a picture on my camera. I used to take frequent strolls around town armed only with one of my prime lenses. Now with the pandemic raging, and the air filled with toxic smoke, I've lost my incentive and motivation for photography. Anyhow, the image is just one of the many old homes in Nevada City that caught my eye on one of my 50mm walk abouts.

Happy Fence Friday everyone.

A tablespoon, a little paper, some blue dishwashing liquid. Add in natural light and the macro lens on my Canon DSLR for a spoonful -- HMM!

Last Sunday Marg, Kenzie the pup, and I decided to eat our lunch along the Bear River. The volume was not as high as its been on most of our trips here but the river never disappoints when it comes to beauty and serenity. Here, the river flows through a sunny patch along a quiet stretch--just one little spot on its long journey to eventually meet up with the Feather River in the Sacramento Valley.

A beach in Cornwall England. shot in Black and White (in camera) RAW. I took this in the late summer but have just got round to posting. (And they say you have plenty of time when you retire )
