Part of Brockhampton Moated Manor House. A medieval manor house in Herefordshire and this is the kitchen of the humble farmhouse which has changed very little over 250 years. Now a National Trust property well worth a visit.
The Valley of the Rocks is located 2 miles west of Lynton, North Devon with the valley floor at 300ft above sea level. The rocks date back 400 million years are tucked away under the shelter of surrounding hills with intriguing names like Ragged Jack, Devil's Cheesewring and Castle Rock.

Jane poses with some lovely autumn bokeh at the window.
Please try to overlook how dirty this window is. Apparently, you have to first hire a maid before one will come and clean stuff.
Oh well.
I had to use a little fill flash to balance her against the natural light for this exposure.

Photo No. 4 of Project No. 2 - 2023 Focus stacking. While focus stacking added a little clarity to the orchids, its main contribution seems to be the added shine to the leaves - unintended consequences. The Orchids have been blooming for over a month, yet not a single flower has wilted - Magic!
Celebrating tree growth and tree Tuesdays everyday! A joy for me to see. (I wandered around this year to view, but without a camera.)
"The Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) is an evergreen conifer species in the pine family, Pinaceae. It is native to western North America and is also known as Douglas-fir, Douglas spruce, Oregon pine, and Columbian pine. There are three varieties: coast Douglas-fir (P. menziesii var. menziesii), Rocky Mountain Douglas-fir (P. menziesii var. glauca) and Mexican Douglas-fir (P. menziesii var. lindleyana)."

I went to one of those before Christmas arts and crafts shows and as I was walking around I saw this and thought what a cool shot. I wish I had a big enough apartment to have something like this. It just puts a smile on my face looking at it.
Working tomorrow and hiking Sunday. No plans, yet, for Monday. Anybody wanta do lunch..:)
What lovely weather to sit out in the sun, work on your tan coat, and watch the wildlife pass the window.
