Parachute’s National Injury Prevention Day is a day to raise awareness around the importance of injury prevention and aid Canadians to live long lives to the fullest through education and advocacy. Health Canada recognizes this date as an official national Health Promotion Day.
Bindi’s only female kitten. I rescued the litter (including Batman) in March 2014. I Photographed Cleo at 6 weeks old and used this photo to promote “forever” commitments. Bindi and Batman are still with me but the other 3 kittens were adopted by wonderful people and are all thriving. All of my rescues “work” and Batman has just raised $1,660 for the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and he will be a Calendar Boy in their 2016 calendar.

The Cathedral is the origin of the Chemin du Puy, one of the principal origin points of the pilgrimage route of Santiago de Compostela in France.
"Le Puy-en-Velay's most striking attraction is the Cathédrale Notre-Dame du Puy, dating chiefly from the first half of the 12th century. The façade, striped in courses of white sandstone and black volcanic breccia, is reached by a flight of sixty steps, and consists of three orders, the lowest composed of three high arcades opening into the porch, which extends beneath the first bays of the nave. Above it are three central windows that light the nave, and above them are three gables on the gable-end of the nave, flanked by two openwork screening gables. The south transept doorway is sheltered by a Romanesque porch. Behind the choir rises a separate Romanesque bell-tower in seven storeys.
The bays of the nave are roofed by octagonal cupolas, the cupola at the crossing forming a lantern; the choir and transepts are barrel vaulted. The striking parti-colored cloister is connected to remains of 13th-century fortifications that separated the cathedral precincts from the rest of the city. Near the cathedral, the 11th-century baptistery of St John is built on Roman foundations.

Virginia Beach each year in April puts out a display of blue pinwheels as part of the Prevent Child Abuse Program. You can click on the link to learn more about it.

#3263 - 2016 Day 341: This section of shingle beach between Selsey and Bracklesham Bay was breached in 2013 as part of a managed realignment flood defence scheme. New defences created inland of the shingle bank and a new tidal channel have created a large area of saltwater marsh, now managed by the RSPB.
Only one problem for me. In plans afoot for a walk [...] , what was a 50m section of shingle is now a 12km detour to reach the other side ...
After striking out with B727 on the OC this morning, I was on my way home when I got word of the MBTA Wash Train waiting in Walpole for Keolis 714. Since I was nearby, I decided to jump off 495 and run up to Norfolk. Here we see the Wash Train on the former New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad's Midland Route at Norfolk, MA with some neat power.

We are proud to have so many positive young people actively participating in the artistic, cultural and sporting activities offered by Hummingbird’s Street Migration Prevention Programme, because we know only too well how easy it is for underprivileged kids to put on a different kind of mask and head off on the wrong pathway...........
Growing up under the guiding and protective wings of Hummingbird prevents a lot of kids from making the wrong decisions in their lives and hitting the streets, and the few who unfortunately did, eventually come back only to regret the years they wasted away in a youth detention centre, that is, if they were lucky enough to survive.........
Two weeks into the UK’s stay at home Coronavirus prevention policy I am realising the plans I had to move my female activities to a new level are now going to be suspended. It has literally taken me years to gain even a small amount of confidence in my ability to create an illusion of being female. In my heart I yearn to look feminine and pass as a woman. I have never had the self belief I can even come close to such a dream. I have, in the last few months, managed to start building a foundation of confidence that made me determined to venture out in public as a woman.
It is ironic really that just as I mange to establish that confidence it is no longer advisable to venture out! I totally believe that the only way to limit the spread of Coronavirus is stay at home and avoid contact to minimise any transmission of the virus from person to person.
I am grateful I managed a bit of time to cross-dress as a woman just before the seriousness of the virus finally sank in and that we all really need to take drastic precautions. My memories of the recent dressing opportunities are still strong and I am still experiencing euphoria. I know this delight will remain with me for many months.
During my last cross-dressing session I felt a new ease building within me which strengthened my resolve that I do need to experience time out in the world as a woman. I know on some deep emotional level I now truly need and desire this outlet in my life. I need to be a woman existing in the world around me. I am not talking about transition, more I just need have opportunities to set free and express this part of myself.
I recorded quite a few videos recently as I had a real need to actually say what I was feeling out loud and being alone with my transvestism the camera is my outlet for this. Do not worry, I know how rubbish my videos are so I won’t be inflicting a huge raft of them onto my photo stream. It is more the moment of recording I gain fulfilment from. Sitting in front of the camera as a woman is just so amazing an experience for me personally that I can barely contain my joy and excitement, and so I literally talk in a stream of consciousness manner! I can recommend it if you too feel you need an outlet and are alone with your desire to appear as a woman.
This picture captures me in a way I enjoy being. I dream of being female, being feminine and try to imagine I am a woman. I can only get close to my dream by wearing wigs, make-up and female clothing. I acknowledge I am deluding myself and indulging in a fantasy but it is undeniably rewarding on many levels.
I will admit I feel more at ease appearing as I do this in picture, everything feels so right. I genuinely feel more confident wearing a dress and always find wearing make-up really boosts my confidence considerably. Losing myself in my dream of being female is always wonderful and though I do eventually return to being a man, my time as a woman is always something I treasure.
