I wanted to take a picture of Katerina in her new skirt that I made her. I made it to go with the beautiful accessories that @skvorka_dolls (on instagram) made for me as a gift a little while ago and I know the skirt doesn't do them justice, it was good practice!

Pretty in pink and pretty fast on the road. Our Lamborghini reveal (including flowers) made this special day AWESOME!

I had a variety of radishes from the co-op so I decided to pickle them broadly following this recipe. I didn't have the rice wine vinegar called for so I substituted some cider vinegar. I like the color, and if you can get past a little funkiness they are pretty tasty.

in 2013, the washington post reported the case of a 5-year-old boy whose favourite colour was pink. as a result, when the time came to buy his first bicycle, he wanted that steel frame to be a subtle shade of apricot. the parents had no problem with this, and the boy even told the salesman (who tried to tell him that boys should ride blue or red bikes) that colour was just a colour. the people that teased him for this, however, were not the boys in the neighbourhood, but interestingly enough it was the girls. not long after, the boy stopped telling people that pink was his favourite colour. this is but a mild example of how men are impacted by the gender box they have been placed in. we feel like we are limited to how we are able to express ourselves due to a preconceived notion of how we should express ourselves. this is where it becomes toxic and causes issues with self-esteem and self-expression that stem far into our adulthood. as the boy said— pink is just a colour. A dress is just a piece of cloth. Hair is just fine thread-like strands growing from the skin of humans, mammals, and some other animals. we stigmatise the use of various concepts/possession when utilised by individuals that cross then barriers of a metaphorical gender segregated prison they’re held captive in. i don’t know where i was going with this but it’s interesting to think about.

Metallic Pink! Need I say more?

The color came out just as I hoped on these. It really shows off the coppery pink color!

I got her to sit still for a few pretty princess pictures today! Cropped, natural light and few corrections made.

I bought her this dress, purse and matching shoes during the cherry blossoms, but we never made it to see them. Well I found the dress still in the box and thought I was going to take some pictures of her in the dress. Well a sugared up kid + no good lighting= No good pictures. I will have to try again another time.

PS. I LOVE this dress and I am thinking of buying it in all the colors they come in. Oh and she loves the dress (Bonus) and she didn't want to take it off(Double Bonus).
