So, as planned Daren and I met up with Lori (standing in boat) and her double ski partner John Saturday morning to do a pre-run to Catalina Island and back in Darrell Nottke's 38' Hustler. Darrell and his boat will be pulling Lori and John this weekend and also pulled Lori in this race last year as she finished near the top in her class.
Lori and John did well and should have a great time next weekend.
This shot was taken just before we launched.
I learned how difficult it is to shoot from a fast moving boat on the open ocean and was only marginally pleased with the shots I came away with from the run. I love every new opportunity to photograpgh adventures like this and each one is a learning experience form me.
I'm looking forward to next week, stay tuned....

This was the Goldfield Hotel section of our run. We were blessed with a visit inside the hotel. Yes we experienced things. I don't care what you believe or don't. I know what we felt and saw!

My friend dave (right) is so passionate about desert racing he created his own team. This past weekend I had the opportunity to sit in the co-pilot seat and help him pre-run the upcoming BLUEWATER RESORT & CASINO PARKER “425”.
This is Dave and I after completing (1) 140 mile lap, my first time ever in his car and I'm hooked.
If you're in to desert racing and have seen or done this before you know how amazing it is. If not... trust me, it's amazing...
