The GI Joe team gears up for their next Op. by prepping their latest in expirimental weaponry the Havoc.
'86 is probably my third favorite Joe year after '85 and '84, respectively. Not to detract from the earlier years by any stretch but more so because there's a great sense of nostalgia there for me. This is sort of my Joe take on the Stun shot I did a couple weeks back.

Sits in a patch of sunlight in my kitchen. Lit from a skylight above and left, it gets very harsh light surrounded by shadow.

Day 129 [5-8-2016]
Eric is back! So now that Eric has returned from college, I invited him along with George, Paul, and Scott on a hike through a large state park that holds many abandoned structures. Or used to as we discovered throughout our hike. All of the buildings were torn down leaving only a small strip of recently vacated houses right off of the main road. Luckily the part is still beautiful itself to walk through with my good friends. After our adventure we went to dinner where we all talked and had a grand old time. I love hanging out with all these guys. Dudes night out is slowly making its way back.
Can't wait to see what the next day brings!

Next weekend is the annual Greater Lansing Orchid Society show at MSU. On exhibit will be hundreds of exotic blooming orchid plants from all over the world. They have classes, contests, sales and all sorts of orchid related things going on..... of course Ladydragonflycc & I will spend the first few hours snapping away. By the time we're done taking pictures we'll be tired of fighting the huge crowds in congested halls and tiny rooms packed so tight with flowers on tables, stands, walls, middle of the floor, hanging from ceiling....etc. It's almost impossible to move without potentially damaging an award winning plant, even without camera's it's teeth grinding frustration.... but we'll be tough and try to get some sweet shots.
