You think the Chinese are killing us with drywall. The Germans are shipping these little guys over inside the Mercedes-Benz.

Predator.

Nothing can kill the game.

If you look closely, you'll see that the hawk/kestrel/caracara has grabbed a smalller bird.
Any ideas on the identity of the Patagonian bird of prey welcomed!
A model of the Predator from the film series. The height is 33 cm excluding the lance; if the Predator is about 2 metres tall, that makes the scale about 1:6. The basis is a vinyl kit from Thailand. The lance is mainly scratchbuilt from steel rod. The dreadlocks are made from Sculpy Superflex. Paints are acrylics and Humbrol metallic steel.
This beautiful hawk was sitting in our backyard for a bit today...just looking around and relaxing. I was hoping that it wasn't injured...he isn't there anymore, so he isn't wounded enough to fly, but if you zoom in on his foot, it looks like something might have fought back and gotten a hold of his (or her) foot. Hoping that this beautiful creature heals and stays safe. Oh and my apologies for the awful processing...the background was super distracting so I blurred it...but am not detail-oriented enough to do it well.
