Turbine blades in a marine version of the Rolls-Royce Olympus turbojet engine. Developed from the engine that powered Concorde. Precision engineering powering ships, as it always has. This engine has served its time and now rests at the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine.

This is another bane of my working life... (The first being that I need to work at all!)

This is me cutting precision grooves in small blocks for fibre alignment. A tiny block roughly 2cms long is clamped into the gizmo, and the cutting tip lowered to etch a precise depth using an electronic meter reader.

Or should that be MILLImeter reader?
