Lovely packaging of Japanese Seaweed Prawn Crackers, the Japanese they make the coolest stuff. Besides that, I would like to bring up about the life cycle of food product, the food itself ends at the moment it is consumed, however the packaging stays on-average plastic takes about 200 years to degrade, exposure to heat and sunlight will allow it to release toxic particles. Governments should regulate new ways of disposing plastics and push the manufacturing industries to take on biodegradables materials. We/Us on the other hand should embrace good changes ,be responsible, be aware, etc.

Prawn Crackers from a Chinese takeaway.

Stuffed chicken wings, prawn crackers, pork dumplings, prawns and asparagus in pastry.

Also Bob's knuckles and Tsing Tao.

Randomness Guide to London entry.

Dinner @ "The Salon" @ Hotel Fort Canning.

Perfunctory - everything was spot on but there was no spotlight. As Marco Pierre White says: "Perfection is a lot of little things done right"....but somehow in this case, all the little things done right (that amazing Achar! Yum!) did not translate into Perfection.

So today's image is one of what to have when you've had a good day at college, your partner has been cleaning all day and just finished the kitchen and the student finance has paid up, get a take out! Nom nom nom nom *rest*nom nom nom nom

Take out from a nice Chinese place called "Ho Fook", i kid you not.

At the Food Republic, Vivo City.

Gado gado, an Indonesian dish that consists of blanched vegetables with peanut sauce and some sort of chip. The Manadonese version has carrots, lettuce, tempeh, tofu, kangkong (a green leafy vegetable) drenched in peanut butter sauce and topped with krupuk udang (shrimp chips)

Prawn Crackers

Berry Square Food Court on Level 2, North Sydney

One reason why come back to May's is for the free prawn crackers. Munching away whilst waiting for the meal to come out is a fantastic idea!!

Nasi box this time. I'm going to work my way through their menu.

Afternoon and after-dinner snacks

Jack n Jill chocolate chip biscuits - only half of one was consumed

Alaska Cool (crab?) flavoured potato chips - strange flavour, they really had a coolness in the mouth effect!

Brighty pomegranate juice - didn't taste much like pomegranate, but still a pleasant flavour

Coke

Dunk! Wasabi & Nori flavoured Sunflower kernels - not sure what it was exactly when it was purchased, but it turned out to be a good choice

Nori flavoured Hanami Prawn Crackers

Not pictured: ice-creams that had to be consumed immediately after purchase due to extreme heat

This looked so pretty when it was finished! Miang Kam is a great dish where you put each one of the pictured ingredients into a spinach leaf and eat it in one bite. For the recipe, I refer you to: www.thaifoodandtravel.com/recipes/mkum.html

Ash had a massive craving for chinese duck so I thought I'd save some money on a take-out and do a DIY version from the supermarket.

The duck needed to be roasted but came with the pancakes and 'trimmings' whilst this was going on I made some egg fried rice which came out really good - I would defo make this again as a dinner on its own! We had it with some prawn crackers and even had enough duck to share some with Poppy - lucky girl and have leftover shredded duck wth the egg fried rice for lunch today. Yum!

From bottom to top: prawn, nori seaweed infused, taro and tomato crackers on topmost plate.

All homemade then fried by Jerome's mum

On a recent vacation, some friends and I dined out at a restaurant where one of the meals ordered came with these colorful "chips" of something. Even the waitress was clueless of what they were made of.

The look like styrofoam, were very crispy, but didn't taste like anything.

Just wish I'd thought to take the pictrure when the tray was delivered. It was loaded with those chips and so colorful it looked like piece of artwork!
