I stopped on Highway 21 on the way home to Edmonton from Medicine Hat, Alberta to catch this image of lines — a common one in our prairies. Road, grain stubble, and sky. Typical layers of Alberta scenery.
Prairie we have a lot of. Cows and horses like it and so do we who like to drive a short distance and see absolutely nothing in any direction. Makes it easier to breathe too.
Various prarie grasses, wildflowers, and weeds can be found growing wild all over the Kansas Flint Hills.

Captive animal. Very photogenic creatures, these prairie dogs.. easy to capture and all fluffy and cute. I forgot to note which species this is exactly.
