Nautic sports along Praia de Faro
Ville millénaire, Faro, capitale administrative de l’Algarve, est située dans le sud du Portugal.
Aujourd'hui, en raison de son emplacement géographique et de sa position de capitale régionale, Faro possède les infrastructures et les services publics les plus importants de toute la région de l'Algarve.
La municipalité comprend 4 paroisses: Paroisses unies de Conceição et Estoi, paroisse Santa Bárbara de Nexe, paroisse Monténégro et Paroisses unies de Sé et São Pedro, soit environ 65.000 habitants répartis sur 210 km2. Environ 30% de la superficie de la municipalité font partie de la Réserve Naturelle « La Ria de Formosa ». La ville est bordée au sud par une dune d’environ 19 km de longueur, formant une lagune avec par endroits des passages qui relie la mer à la Ria Formosa pour former 3 îles principales.
A thousand-year-old city, Faro, the administrative capital of the Algarve, is located in the south of Portugal.
Today, due to its geographical location and its position as regional capital, Faro has the most important infrastructure and public services in the entire Algarve region.
The municipality has 4 parishes: United Parishes of Conceição and Estoi, Parish of Santa Bárbara de Nexe, Parish of Montenegro and United Parishes of Sé and São Pedro, or approximately 65,000 inhabitants spread over 210 km2. About 30% of the area of the municipality is part of the Nature Reserve “La Ria de Formosa”. The city is bordered to the south by a dune about 19 km in length, forming a lagoon with in places passages that connect the sea to the Ria Formosa to form 3 main islands.

“Dona Ana” Beach, Lagos, Algarve, Portugal.
“Dona Ana” beach lies in the area known as “Costa D’Oiro” (Golden Coast), so called because of the yellowish color of the surrounding cliffs. It is a beach of unique beauty, protected from winds, with calm and clear waters and, in my opinion, the most iconic of all those that are distributed between the city of Lagos and the lighthouse of “Ponta da Piedade” in the Algarve.

A Praia Dona Ana fica na zona conhecida por Costa D’Oiro, nome derivado da cor amarelada das falésias que a envolvem. É uma praia de beleza única, protegida dos ventos, de águas calmas e límpidas e, na minha opinião, a mais emblemática de todas aquelas que se distribuem entre o Porto da Cidade de Lagos e o farol da Ponta da Piedade no Algarve.
