Located in southeast Java, Grajagan fishing village was a thoroughfare for the many traveling surfers on their way to the world class waves at the surf camp known as G-Land. In the old days at G-Land, surfers would travel the fifteen miles across the bay between Grajagan fishing village and Camp Plengkung (Alas Purwo National Park) in the wooden prahu (also perahu, prau, or proa) fishing boats. The surf camps no longer boat launch back and forth from Grajagan, but instead access with larger high speed vessels direct from Bali.
