I suspect that "L" may stand for 'learner' in Czech! Google Translate if I can trust it comes up with "řidič learner" for 'learner driver'! Tatra 5520 appears out of public service and, I think, with a trainee driver in the cab. The street is Zenklova near Palmovka, Praha 8.

The place used to be a public library. With the regime change in Czechoslovakia (1989) it was converted into a bar with slot machines, owned by Russian mafia. Today it is a café with a seperated part with slot machines. A really strange place.

The Škoda 15 T (also called ForCity) is a three carbody section 100% low-floor uni-directional tram, developed by Škoda for the Prague tram system. There will be one mechanical inertia platform for a wheelchair.

 

Production

As of 2008, there are going to be 250 trams produced and delivered to Prague. The first vehicles will arrive in 2009. Another 20 vehicles have been ordered for Riga, Latvia.
