After months of weekend practice the house gets burned today. 19* and it's gonna be a cold one. Us wives have chili and breads etc. for afterwards. They are going to need it. This property was purchased and someday a fire hall for the township will sit on this corner lot.
Practicing with lights and depth of field. This is a lot to remember all at once. Also bought my first poses!

Interesting aside: The red team is all wearing masks. The white team is all (or almost all) maskless. It reflects the very mixed responses to Covid in our society.

some website about crows and ravens, which I shall not name here, has taken many of my shots and posted a link to my whole crow set without any permission. I have emailed them to take them off ASAP, but so far no answer and the images are still posted.
Since my privacy settings prohibit any downloading or printing, I am somewhat puzzled how they got them in the first place. Does anybody know?
I don't like wildlife shots with a huge name printed right on the image, but I can understan why.
Evilyn's daily practice with her telekinesis powers is really paying off... from levitating her sister Ivy, she's now moved on to levitating me!

I'm hoping that daily practice might help me improve my photography, so i started a non-dolly flickr on 2nd January. I'm not calling it a 365 project because i doubt i'll get that far! but i'm doing as much as i can.
This was my first attempt at this kind of self portrait, and it wasn't mega successful. I had some technical issues that meant it couldn't come out quite how i wanted it to, but i decided not to re-shoot it, so i'm putting it on here as it's technically a dolly photo :)
Edit: In case you're wondering, there is very little editing in this scene, the in-camera photo is not very different at all - my dress covered almost all of the stool i was leaning back on so there wasn't much to edit out ;)
He actually had a guy come up and tell him to play him a tune. The guy was more impressed that he could play "Californication" pretty well.
I saw some snapshots of Kanye West x Adidas fashion show, and I really love their tone of colors. So I decided to use it for reference. I need to practice more on different kinds of skin tones.

******************************************************************************
The Roseate Spoonbill is a wading bird of the ibis and spoonbill family. This species feeds in shallow fresh or coastal waters by swinging its bill from side to side as it steadily walks through the water, often in groups. The spoon-shaped bill allows it to sift easily through mud. It feeds on crustaceans, aquatic insects, frogs, newts and very small fish ignored by larger waders. The Roseate Spoonbill nests in shrubs or trees, often mangroves, laying 2 to 5 eggs, which are whitish with brown markings. Immature birds have white, feathered heads, and the pink of the plumage is paler. They are extremely agile high in the treetops. (They are often confused with the flamingo.)

I did joke at the time of avoiding the oil drum bin in the background but decided it should stay as being an oil drum fits in with cars and racing.
But I was taken with this angle giving a circular plate shape of the beautiful Jag.
