When Adam brought over his powerwasher, I figured we would peel off some of the paint - I just had no idea how much.. This was just the medium-pressure tip, and it still took off all of the old, peeling, chalky paint - right down to bare wood. This is going to give us a chance to put a really good coat of paint on this old house, and make it last a good long time. And that's good, because we all have better things to do than to scrape and paint houses!

Industrial Cleaning Equipment & Supply have taken our cleaning systems to a new level. Feel free to put us to the test. I will assist you with all your immediate and future equipment, parts, accessories and chemical purchases focusing on increasing your profitability, lowering long-term overhead while providing tremendous overall savings on the highest quality products and services available.

We now offer systems that can pressure clean up to 10,000 square feet per hour!

We had someone come today and give us an estimate on power washing, refinishing and resealing the deck. He quoted us $475 and said he could start right then. He was here for 5 hours and spent more than 4.5 of that washing! He said the paint on there looked original and said it had never been cleaned. Why am I not surprised?

343/365. What a hard-working vacation day!! It was another perfect day for yardfun (albeit a bit dry, something we didn't really register so much until we both spent the entire evening guzzling water and iced tea), and we started off with the fun job of assembling and placing the new compost bin. Then we were off to Stonybrook to get our hanging baskets, deck hibiscuses, basil plants (because we forgot to start seeds), some pansies, and then a first-ever foray into the perennials for bleeding hearts and hostas and oh wait some windowbox ferns and say how about some butterfly bush and lupine for the compost area and oh crap look at that rhododendron... We got in trouble there, is what we're saying. And then it was WORK WORK WORK getting some (but still not all!) of it situated (we ran out of potting soil before we could finish the potting). But lo! The backyard now has DELIBERATE plantings in it -- our little Japanese maple from Paul & Sarah, and some shade plantings (because it's full sun out there now)! Someday we'll look back at this picture and laugh at how unintentional and raggedy the area around the deck is. It's going to be lush and beautiful and anchored by a towering Japanese maple, mark our words! We worked so long that we broke for lunch and then went back out to work some more, and only finally collapsed on the couch, showered and exhausted, by 4:30. And we had a very relaxing, restful afternoon then of powerwashing and knitting and snacking to stay awake. And then we had pepper/sausage wagon wheels for dinner while the Bernies played what seemed like an interminably slow game with the Cards (but won). And now we need another weekend, because man was this tiring!

Shots of our sadly peeling house prior to painting (but after powerwashing).
