Image of the Sun on 29/09/2021 at 1213 UTC. I'm not sure how the banding occurred across the surface, can't explain why but believe it only occurred after using the Powermate.

This image of Mare Frigoris represents my first attempt to blend multiple close up images taken with the ZWO ASI290MM/Meade LX850 (12" f/8) combination. I am inspired to advance in two directions from here. First, I want to produce an image of the Moon's full disk in LRGB at this image scale, and although the data handling might be tedious I am confident that I can pull this off. The second direction is to attempt this same feat after adding a 2x PowerMate to the optics path.

This image was captured just 18 minutes after sunset. The live and unprocessed image looked good enough on the display that I thought I could get away taking an image before dark. I had some processing difficulties as a result of the sky not being completely dark. Lesson learned: wait for dark to image the Moon!
