Between London and Parkhill, Ontario, along Nairn Road.
Crews work on new hydro lines stretching along Nairn Road just east of Parkhill. From what I gather, the lines are part of the ongoing wind turbine and hydro projects in the area.
These lines are connected to the nearby Parkhill Customer Transformer Station on Nairn between Cassidy Road and Bornish Drive.
Our awesome hosts Steve and Kate (and their friend Eric) taught us how to play Power Grid... and Kristin won!

These are the meters attached to the solar panels on the Village buildings. I believe that the Village no longer pays for electricity and can actually sell some of electricity back to the powergrid. See:http://www.newpaltzgreens.org/solarpanels.html
Move over all you hippies, David Leeds is actually doing something about the problem by promoting an understanding and implementation of Smart Grid technology.
This is a picture series of the Illuminato X Machina, the first creation of the Santa Fe Project to explore alternate computer architectures - including ones that are massively parallel, robust, adaptive, and sensing. This is a new set of hardware that is programmable through the Antipasto Arduino Branch IDE. I will be blogging over the next few months about projects and hacks using the boards over at antipasto.blogspot.org.
