Outhouses behind the Grand Coulee Grange Hall at Bagdad Junction in Eastern Washington.
Normally, I would include some history about a place like this, but not much is known about Bagdad Junction, other than that it is long dead. Hopefully, the inclusion of the precise location of this place will make up for the lack of backstory. Don't abuse the knowledge. This is history.
The grange hall and these outhouses were probably not part of the original town site, but that is just a guess. Bagdad Junction is part of a cluster of so-called ghost towns in this area, along with Hesseltine, Sherman and Govan. Almira and Creston seem well on their way to falling into this classification, with populations of 302 and 232 (2000 Census), respectively.
Today is the day that Will has chosen to try 'The Potty'. Fingers crossed - I'm over having 2 in nappies.
Poppy is mad about playing with tennis balls, footballs, bouncy balls and this red plastic ball which is from a kiddies skittles set.
She like having one in her mouth and then dribbles the other with her paws. Usually in a more controlled way than with this one which bounces around the kitchen floor :D
Don't know why but this is playing very jerkily on flickr but you get the idea.
Laurel got bored sitting on the potty in the middle of the living room, so she picked it up and carried it under her to the armoire so she could look in the DVD drawer.
Some success in potty training the little one today...although it seems like its one step forward but two steps back....should I be complaining? She's only 15 months!
He has a rather Kasbah feel about him I think. Firstly his eyes fell out, then his hat fell off (broke into bits - Marley I am guessing is the culprit) - only his mouth remains. Ah well.
This was as far as I went.
Tried a few things in photoshop to really bring out the contrast from the light and the grime.
……Or is that Potty Paper? Whatever, this is my take on the Smile on Saturday theme for this week - "VASES AND FLOWER POTS”. I try where possible to make my own pots from paper which of course is Bio-degradable, saves plastic (yippee) and whats more saves disturbing the root system when planting out. All the very best for a happy Smile On Saturday and I hope you don’t go too potty today😊 Alan:-)…..
