Patios are fantastic places to entertain guests or have a special family dinner. They are often used during the warmer months but as winter approaches most people retreat inside the house. However, with a patio heater it is possible to still have your parties outside during the colder months but do it in a pleasant temperature.

A patio heater is a small heater that warms an area that is usually 20 feet in diameter. They are not just heating devices, however. They are a variety of designs that are manufactured to suit a range of outdoor decors and styles. Patio heaters are now a fashion item for your patio.

Most types of heaters are portable. This allows you to operate them without the need for a gas line or electricity socket, and to put them away when the patio is not in use.

I took the boots home after trekking in Ladakh and then photographed the worst one before returning them to the retailer.

Oradour-sur-Glane.

The original village was destroyed on 10 June 1944, when 642 of its inhabitants, including women and children, were massacred by a company of troops belonging to the 2nd SS Panzer Division Das Reich, a Waffen-SS unit of the military forces of Nazi Germany.

A new village was built after the war on a nearby site, but on the orders of the then French president, Charles de Gaulle, the original has been maintained as a permanent memorial.
