A heat map of number of gall-causing species in each hectare (100m grid square) at Attenborough Nature Reserve.

Data were extracted from MapMate, loaded into Postgres linked to hectare polygons of the British National Grid and the data displayed against an OS OpenSpace StreetView tile using Quantum GIS.

Unfortunately, QGIS does not conveniently produce a legend for this. The darkest square represents 25 species. Unfortunately all vegetative cover has been removed from this area as part of the Flood Alleviation works at Attenborough.
