In order to fill the empty space over the many (many!) bookcases in the library/dining room (library mostly, who am I kidding?), I bought a bunch of fancy 16x20 frames (on sale!) from Michaels, each of which will showcase a photo of one of my six furkids, as well as my childhood (well, young adulthood) friend, Shadow. In lieu of buying expensive matting for that high-end look, I built some faux mats into the photos themselves using Photoshop. A 16x20 print, by the by, is only $5 & change at Sam's Club.

Fantastic, pin-sharp, 3' by 4' or 5' prints laid on the floor for display. The punters were allowed to walk on them!!!

I guess this is a measure of how blase we have become with the ultra high quality of much photography nowadays. The technology (and sheer creativity) on display was impressive.

I still couldn't bring myself to trample over work like this though.

Much of the technology, although amazing, is still out of reach of all but the filthiest of rich amateurs.
