about this painting: you all know the Ajijic Pier by now from my photographs...... well the tremendous recovery of the Lake and all the family-fishing fun at sunset on the pier was bound to pop up on one of my canvases sooner or later - painting is my occupation, this is how i make my living (((:

First, I'd like to say that this is only a fan creation of ours, that all the characters, titles, etc. shown in the poster are based off those from the Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm and figures already released by the LEGO Company, who do not endorse, sponsor, or authorize this artwork. This will NOT be available for purchase.
With that said, I've had this fan made poster done for a while and keep forgetting to post it. But, after seeing the sizzle reel today at D23, which was great!, I thought I'd put it on the page.
What do you guys think of the poster?
What did you guys think of the sizzle reel? Are you getting excited for Ep 8 or not?
Also, big thank you to Gabriele for the amazing work of putting this poster together. See if you guys can see some of his little fine details on the poster ;)
Sometimes I like to fiddle around with old posters. I like to cut out parts of them and I like to clean them up. I like to perhaps change the background or some colors. I like removing text that covers the artwork. I guess it's a way of training myself in Photoshop and not least it's therapeutic. All or almost all of the posters I've been messing up I've found at the excellent site: www.wrongsideoftheart.com/
This poster is a call for Americans to start working together instead of arguing. The rancor in Washington is slowing our progress to a standstill. Be sure to take a look at our other posters. Digital high res downloads are free here. Other options are available.
I create the "ruda" type just for fun, with a rectangular box and a triangular module to the details. Then i did this poster to taste it. Its only for Headlines, and well... hope you like it.
The whole ABC Coming Soon!
Cree la tipo Ruda solo por diversion a partir de una caja rectangular con un modulo triangular para los detalles que hacen identificar a cada letra. Luego hice este poster para probarla. Espero les guste!
Pronto el abecedario completo!
Taken at the San Xavier Mission near Tucson. Jazzed it up a little using the poster filter in Photoshop.
This is a scan of a wedding invitation mini-poster that I just finished designing and screenprinting for Sarah Wert, a girl I went to college with. She lives in San Francisco now but contacted me because she remembered my work and thought I'd be a good match for what she wanted: a fun little poster in the spirit of fair and circus posters, inviting people to a very unique "destination" wedding set at her family's farm in the rolling hills of eastern Pennsylvania.
The next bunch of photos documents some of the process and how we arrived at this final poster, from research images to sketching and lettering, composition and color mockups in photoshop, and finally screenprinting in my spare bedroom with my newly-acquired screenprinting equipment (purchased for this job, but I will be doing more in the near future!).
So I am designing some ad material for this show I help produce as a fundraiser. This I shot in hopes of creating a poster from it, but I have yet to produce any ideas that I like when adding text.....
Let me know what you think.
A vintage poster using a concept borrowed from Gustav Klimt. Kunstausstell ung is "Art Exhibit" in German.
Even 200 years ago posters were used to promote public awareness of social and political events.
In this example a custom background was developed first. Then elements from Mischief Circus (Itkupilli) and Graphics Fairy were added in multiple distressed layers to build a sense of depth and age.
Todo mundo já fez um poster praquele prêmio do MCB. Claro que eu não ganhei, mas acho que esse ficou bem legal.
This local Cafe boasts great Vegan Sandwiches and Deserts with their coffee or tea. It is in our local area also. The Poster shows some stylized animal figures.
