French tinted postcard dated July 25 1920 see more at www.ronholpics.com

From my collection - dated June 13, 1911 sent to Mr. Earle Younker, Box 101 Hargerstown Maryland. It has a pretty interesting letter on this one. it say: "Hello Earle, Recieved your card. Glad to hear from you. The York girls make fine wives, you should come here and get a wife and lover. Your friend, Blanche"

Postcards and Greeting cards

Out and about in Christchurch today with a friend from Flickr. December 7, 2017.

The bottom three shots are from new buildings in the city.

Cathédrale Sainte-Cécile overlooking the Tarn

In Puerto de Vega, the stones speak to you and the viewpoints inspire you, because there are also several watchtowers to enjoy contemplating the town and the coast. And the stones tell you about a land of illustrious characters (sailors, soldiers, scientists, etc.), to such an extent that the town's ethnographic museum – an inexcusable appointment to learn about life and seafaring customs of yesteryear – bears the name of Juan Pérez Villamil, notable politician born in Puerto de Vega.

The Fabyan Windmill is a grist mill relocated to a park and forest preserve, and it makes a nice roadside postcard.

Collection from my husband

I'm going to start something new, for me. I love postcards and I love history. I've done some volunteer work for SHSMO ( State Historical Society Of Missouri) working on restoring some of their archive photos. In the process I discovered what a great collection they have. The postcard images I have are from this source. Please visit them if you get a chance.

The first postcard from Catherine on her travels.

Postcard of Oaks Manor Motor Hotel 7015 S. Central Expwy. at Overton Road. The building that I think was a Gulf station is still there. The rest is gone.

The beauty of a winter's morn -

when snow is fresh and clean;

Boughs on evergreens clothed in white -

a pretty sight to be seen.

Bushes are, themselves, a garden -

to be remembered in the spring;

A postcard scene on a winter's morn,

to me, is everything.

It was a postcard day - no, a postcard weekend - in Montana. After spending the weekend near Glacier National Park, the family stopped at Holland Lake on our way home to Missoula. It's been on my list for several years to experience the golden larch surrounding Holland Lake in the fall. Today, my wish came true. On a midday hike to the falls, the lake was a mirror reflecting the Mission Mountains as well as the larch filled hillsides. I return to this place year after year, as it has got to be one of the prettiest spots in the state.

Hi, a postcard - Sweden [2023]

Originally the sky was overexposed, and the sun was shining straight into Valeria`s face. I decided to transform the background into the style of old postcards, and spent quite a long time with creating a digital make up - a good opportunity for practicing...! - Oberbaum Bridge, Berlin-Kreuzberg

OK, technically this is a slightly different Machu Picchu postcard shot, but I actually like it better.

Snapped from one of the highest terraces above the guard house, this perspective shows a bit more of the western agricultural teraces dropping off into the valley below.
