Artist Statement:

Echo Core is the nucleus of the Containment Protocol series a meditation on intelligence, captivity, and the aestheticization of control. The octopus, central and luminous, is not simply observed it is the signal. An echo, held in recursive reflection, wired by lightning, coded in light.

The vessel is part containment, part amplifier. It pulses with power, but the subject is not overwhelmed. The octopus adapts, or perhaps it orchestrates.

This piece explores what happens when a creature of infinite flexibility is forced into finite space. It is not about escape. It is about subversion through presence beauty weaponized through attention.
