Post Office pillar box number BB1012 in front of Banbury Town Hall

 

The fluted design for the Birmingham and Southern District dates from 1856, the design being modified in 1857 to incorporate what was to become the conventional horizontal posting slot. This particular pillar is though to date from 1856 and was awarded Grade II listed building status on 14th February slot.

This particular pillar is dates from 1857 and was moved to its present location after restoration on 25th November 1974. It was awarded Grade II listed building status on 14th February 1986

The Kaunas Central Post Office building is one of the most important representative buildings of interwar period constructed between 1930-1932. It is a valuable symbol of national modernistic architecture. Features of the building include wood carvings on window rims, cement cornices and a ceramic floor laid in national weave texture.
