Kolomya is one of the pearls of Galicia that has always been an important city of the province, starting from the pre-Austrian times. Nowadays it is just a county center of the Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine but the past days’ glory still exists! Many Ukrainian poets, writers, composers and musicians originate from here. Famous Lemberg-Vienna based writer Sacher Masoch wrote a lot about a very special charm of this town. These photographs don’t show the most beautiful places and buildings, but rather hidden and unknown. As photography is just my hobby I can afford shooting and publishing what is interesting to me, what I like, hate, laugh at or what inspires me.

Built in 1923 the former Farmers State Bank in Wawaka, Indiana, is now the town's post office. But a reminder of its days as a bank still remains.
Something for Post secret, a group based in america which i've been interested in for 3 years now. People annoymously send their secret or confession, and make it into a postcard and send it to these people in america...and they could put it up on their site, put it in their next book, i really don't know. Every week the postsecret site has an update... they've now made several books, i have the first one, and yet to buy the others. + I thought i'd finally make one. It may sound funny, but i honestly HATE being chased up the stairs. My mum used to do it a lot when i was young, and she'd grab my ankles and tickle me - and now, it terrifies me.
Day six of the post-flight tour with a visit to Thales Alenia Space to open their new Clean Room.
In the afternoon an event with 400 school children at the W5.
Lastly a show at Ulster Hall with Tim Kopra.

Let me say that I am married to the best man in the world. He is such a good sport, supporting me in all my photo adventures :) I did some post processing on this one to get an overall Apocalyptic feel to it. Will post the original as well.

A lonely mailbox sits on the edge of the great prairie. No longer used it still holds on to the memories of times past.

A drilling bit sits atop the gates on the road into the old Humble Gas Plant in the Tomball Oil Field, Tomball Texas The gate is now on Humble Road. Oil and gas production was an important part of Tomball's history.
From 1907 to 1933 Tomball was a shipping point on the railroad with most of the people primarily involved in farming and ranching activities. The coming of the railroad in 1906 was followed by a post office in 1908. The town acquired its first school in 1908 . In 1913, electric lights and telephone service became widely available in the little town. By 1914 Tomball had a population of 350, a bank, a blacksmith, several stores, six hotels, and two cotton gins. Charles F. Hoffman was an early settler who operated the first general store, and J. J. Trichel was postmaster.
Then In 1933 Tomball changed forever in just a day. On May 27, drillers struck oil west of town on the property of J. F. W. Kob. Almost overnight Tomball became a oil boom-town. In 1935, the original contract negotiated between Tomball and the Humble Oil and Refining Company (later Exxon ) gave free water and natural gas to Tomball residents for ninety years in exchange for drilling rights within the city limits. On July 6, 1933, Tomball, popularly known as "Oil Town U.S.A.," was incorporated with a population of 665. With the discovery of oil, however, this figure tripled. Soon there were twenty-five to thirty oil and gas companies producing within a five-mile radius of Tomball. Humble built a "camp" in Tomball which included housing, recreation facilities and other facilities for its workers. Tomball became famous as a city with free gas and water but no municipal cemetery. The hydrocarbon reservoirs played out and Exxon sold their interest in the late 1980s. There is still a little production from the field and the gas plant is still operational, however most of the field has now been abandoned.

Now approaching 25 years old, 325001 leads two other sets northbound through Acton Bridge on 9th July 2019 with 1S96 1621 Willesden to Shieldmuir postal train.
I've not got too many photos of these EMU replacements for the TPOs - so by way of a change, here's one! The rear set was 325011, not a clue what the middle one was.
The blue lights indicate that the roller-shutter doors are unlocked, so presumably the postal staff know where to head for to load mail. Interestingly, these sets are actually owned by the Royal Mail and not by a ROSCO.

Thousands of brightly-colored post-it notes were posted on the doors of Wisconsin's State Capitol Building as the building remains closed to the public. Each note has a message written on it protesting the lock out and Governor Scott Walker's Budget Repair Bill. The lockout is yet another twist in the ongoing battle between union workers and Wisconsin Republican leadership.

SK63 GAA is a Wright Streetlite DF B40F that has been on loan to Thamesdown Transport since 18th March 2014, to cover for warranty work to the operator’s own fleet of six Streetlites. It has been given temporary fleet number 417. It was later purchased by the operator, maintaining its fleet number.
