That's my first post for the #myEDSchallenge founded by @ehlers.danlos society.

Day 8: Passions

My sports passion:

When I was younger I wanted to play soccer, but my dad wisely pushed me to play Tennis. I love(d) this sport!! Everything with a racket makes me happy: Table Tennis, Badminton, Squash.

I enjoyed that so much. But I´m 40 years old now and the pain grows so hard last 2 years....now that would be my death... :P But I have a lot of good memories doing that sports....so much fun. :) At some point I will surely pick up a Badminton racket again. I already had spectacular matches with my son. <3

My photography passion:

When I came into lightpainting in 2013 that was a life-changing moment for me. To be able to do that kind of art is what makes me really happy every day. That´s the thing where I can put my whole creativity in it and it became a source of neverending satisfaction.

It’s hard to take a long break with things you love and give you that energy back what you need for life.

To set up a tripod with pain in all joints, ankles and muscles is a challenge. To set up 3 tripods or take equiment on your shoulders to a “normal” photo trip (lightpainting lovers know😂💪😅) is a level End boss now…. <3

My car passion:

I got so much time to think about my life when I was laying down for a half year without apprOPIATE painkillers….isn’t it stupid that in my high-pain times I was able for: nothing. But I was under mental pressure to wash my car every 2 weeks by hand….I thought a lot about that fact why my cars must look clean and mint like at a show & shine contest…..AND I KNOW NOW WHY IT IS HOW IT IS:

From the beginning in my childhood my body was so unperfect – I had a lot of injuries because of my soft skin. So I was sewn by Doctors maybe 20 times till the age of 14…….and I think that’s the reason why I get insane that my vehicles are in very best condition:

Because my skin and body never was and never will be as perfect as a carnauba polished german car!!….😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍

I can laugh about that, but after 25 years of handwashing my cars, beginning with my bicycle in late ´80s I can understand my relationship to my vehicle collection now:

I search for perfection in things that my body/skin never will be………note to me: that writing save my money to visit a psychologe…😂✌ <3

However. To the people out there:

Don´t judge a book by it´s cover!

Stay healthy! :)

Cheers!

Manuel

An old salvaged book and a log saved from an old Christmas tree came in handy in creating this cute and adorable Christmas Tree. I think I have enough squares leftover to create an enchanted forest. Inspiration found on Pinterest.
