This week's instructions were: "I would like you to "portray a movie". How? That's completely up to you"
I don't watch many films, and buy one only rarely. But "Mr Turner" is centre stage in my collection! One of my favourite directors, Mike Leigh, tackles the later years of my artistic hero, JMW Turner. What could be better!! So I have tried to portray the film to you, in just one image .... tried! It is so difficult to capture the strange magic that it weaves!

«La vida sería mucho más agradable si uno pudiera llevarse a donde quiera que fuera, los sabores y olores de la casa materna».
The 1977 movie "Eraserhead" was the first film by director David Lynch. It was a very dark movie, but that doesn't mean that my image has to be dark. :-)
Done for the Smile on Saturdays "Portray A Movie" theme; also for the Our Daily Challenge "Still Life Tabletop W/3" challenge; and it might work for the upcoming Macro Mondays "yellow" theme too. It is within the Macro Mondays 3-inch size limitation, but I'm not sure if it falls within the "limited editing" allowance.

"Pulp Fiction"
One of the most influential films of the 1990s, Pulp Fiction is a delirious post-modern mix of neo-noir thrills, pitch-black humor, and pop-culture touchstones.
Starring John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Tim Roth, Ving Rhames, and Uma Thurman,
I wasn't feeling very inspired and almost missed today's challenge, but I guess better late than never. :)
For this week's Smile on Saturday group theme, Portray a Movie.

Papillon is a 1973 historical drama prison film directed by Franklin J. Schaffner. The screenplay by Dalton Trumbo and Lorenzo Semple Jr. was based on the 1969 autobiography by the French convict Henri Charrière. The film stars Steve McQueen as Charrière ("Papillon") and Dustin Hoffman as Louis Dega. Because it was filmed at remote locations, the film was quite expensive for the time ($12 million), but it earned more than twice that in its first year of release.[4] The film's title is French for "Butterfly," referring to Charrière's tattoo and nickname.

My mask here if of the red/Raphael. Plus my mask I wear when I go out. I would love to go to the grocery store with both masks to see what people would think and look at me. Maybe it would ease them up alittle.
My mask belongs to my youngest who couldn't get enough of those turtles.

"PORTRAY A MOVIE".
Inspired by fabulous movie Miss Potter (2006)
Hello my Flickr friends!!!
Today is a pink/purple day at Color my World Daily Group. And at Make me smile on Saturday we have a very awesome theme: portray a movie.
Since my sons and my husband are a huge Star Wars fans, I was about to do a Star Wars photo. But of course, it was so simple in my mind but once I started putting everything together it become quickly a disaster … I’m not handling stress related to photo shoots very well… especially in lockdown situation with everyone being a little bit edgy …
We took 2 long walks to calm everyone. I cried, I screamed (at everyone including a cat and a bird just watching us walking…), and I had 2 gin & tonics back at home. And I had an urge to cut my own hair … but I didn’t (thanks God !!!)! Maybe I had a nervous breakdown? Who knows …? But after my 2 gin & tonics everything became so much clearer: why not revisit my old (I did one similar a few years ago and it should be somewhere in my albums on Flickr) "ET phone home" picture?
And so, I did. Even if I never saw that movie (yes, that is true!! I saw a major part of it but not the whole movie...), my husband was a huge ET fan (that is why I have an ET straight from the 1980). Few years ago, we showed it to our sons and my older son (he was like 8 at the time I believe) was sooooooo scared!! We had to stop the movie, like 10 minutes in…He cried for several hours and he had nightmares for a few days… It was at least my third attempt to see the WHOLE movie. But unfortunately, we never watched it again since it was such "a horrific" experience for our children and now all they want to see are superheroes movies, so I guess it is too late for ET. Yes, I know, instead of watching all the episodes of Tiger King on Netflix I should watch ET… I’m pretty much sure that ET is less of a drama queen that some (all??) characters on Tiger King ! ET has much, much more credibility in my opinion and definitely a better reputation worldwide ! I would vote for ET, and he may even save us from the corona virus, don’t you think ?
So which one you like better ET or Tiger King ?
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts / positive vibes!! Stay safe and healthy !! And enjoy your weekend !!!
I have learned that "Poppies" is a short hand-drawn animation film seeing World War 1 through the eyes of animals living in the battlefield. It lasts the duration of a traditional two-minutes silence.

Smile on Saturdays - Portray a Movie!
I was quite stuck at how to portray a film in the task and had discarded several ideas as not good enough. Going into the bathroom, getting ready for bed last night saw these bottles, empty, that I fill and use when travelling. They contain enough for a few days and saves carrying a much bigger bottle! As you can tell, they are the results of our travels.
Group's theme: Portray a movie
STARDUST is a 2007 PG-13 movie.
"To win the heart of his beloved (Sienna Miller), a young man named Tristan (Charlie Cox) ventures into the realm of fairies to retrieve a fallen star. Yvaine is in great danger, for the king's sons need her powers to secure the throne, and an evil witch (Michelle Pfeiffer) wants to use her to achieve eternal youth and beauty."

... Portray A Movie ...
Trying to choose which film I used wasn't easy, but I suddenly thought of Animal Farm.
The book was creepy enough, but the film was even worse!
Animal Farm; written by George Orwell, (real name Eric Arthur Blair), was first published in August 1945. The film was made in 1954.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.
