Incheon Inner Port is a busy place being the second largest in Korea.

And that was it for Incheon/Seoul. The Volendam has left the dock in Incheon Port's inner harbour headed to the lock and out into the Yellow Sea. Two days from now we were back in Japan at the port of Miyazaki (Hososhima).

Once the Volendam cleared the Port of Incehon Lock it picked up another tug boat (Hi Castle) to guide it through the inner harbour waters.

Vessel HI CASTLE (IMO: 9125487, MMSI: 440002380) is a tug built in 1995 and currently sailing under the flag of Korea. HI CASTLE has 36m length overall and beam of 9m. Her gross tonnage is 225 tons.

The 2011 built, 9799 ton Shinline 11 container and general cargo ship parked at the dock beside the Volendam was in the process of loading.

Shinline Sdn Bhd. provides international shipping and marine transportation of freight. The company was founded in 1994 and is based in Miri, Malaysia.

OK, I thinks its time to get off the Volendam and explore Seoul.

Negotiating the massive locks into the port of Incheon, South Korea

The control tower's maritme-themed mural greats us as we slowly enter the port lock; Incheon, South Korea

The Incheon Port Authority craft has the appearance of a converted pleasure boat.

The Volendam is arriving at the Port of Incheon Korea. It will dock here for two days during which we will spend the first day in Seoul and the second in Incheon City.

Incheon an artificial port with lock gate facilities that overcome a tidal difference of 10 meters and the Volendam will transit the lock.
