I took this at Minnekhada Park last week. We were going to go for a hike there, but the trails were skating rinks, and I didn't bring my skates :(

But driving out of the park, the sunlight shone through the trees, and it was worth every minute of getting all the way out there.

I think many of us know the feeling :)

Many people find rotting wood and falling apart fences ugly, but I see beauty in them. We fall apart as we age, but there is beauty in that aging and I've learned to appreciate it.

I present to you the underside of the Pitt River Bridge.

It's common to drive over, but not too many people have the opportunity to pass under and view the flip side.

Steel girders and concrete seem to be the foundation to this Cable-Stayed Bridge that was built in 2009

We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

It was another terrific day, though cool. The wild fields at Castle Park are mostly flat from the snow last week, but this clump of grass managed to remain vertical even as it blows gently in the breeze.
