Another kind just might "POP-UP".
Interesting approach that I haven't seen before. After clicking on a link on the homepage, a DHTML layer appears with "Before continuing...".
It probably has a better chance of success than a popup (DHTML or window) that appears automatically when the homepage is loaded.
It also feels ever so slightly more polite, but that's debatable.

Hello everyone,
Here's a replica of the legendary Honda / Acura NSX, a japanese mid-engined sportscar!
Everything on this model can be opened, hood, trunk, frunk (front trunk), doors and even the glovebox!
Apart from a detailled interior the car also has popup-headlights that can be activated using a lever in the passenger footwell.
